Okay, i've searched everywhere but no definite answer. I want to convert my Kouki S14 Corner lights to turn signals, and just make the signals in the bumper fogs/replace the corners. Is it as simple as switching the wires?

I just switched wires on my s14. A wire stripper and tape worked for me.

The PBM thing is cool since you can do other stuff with it, but if this is all you're trying to do ya might as well just follow Brian's suggestion.

and which two wires to switch?

Will these methods switch the polarity in the bulb or just cut the power when the bulb is blinking?

In your case since you wanna switch up what is what... Cut, reconnect, done. I just took a dremel and went ruthless on my corners until the turn signal bulbs were able to be stuffed in there. Taped it up with electrical tape to keep the water out, and it works like a dream. Super bright because the 1156 bulb is bigger than the 194 corners usually have. I completely got rid of my fogs and turn signal housings and got the holes filled though, so I needed to figure something out.

the amount of cheap fucking gimmicky shit you guys buy amazes me (including useless bullshit like aluminum lugnuts). i swear, anodize it and you fuckers will buy anything.
its a 5-watt corner light (parking light), making it blink doesnt make it a turn signal. its FIVE fucking watts, thats practically the same as what most interior lights use.

thats real smart. so you're saying that you anal-gaped your corner light to install a massive 7/27 watt bulb, then you rely on electrical tape to "seal" the bulb and keep water out.
nice job. leave your hazards on for 10-20 mins and take pics of the molten interior of your corner lights.

If you want to upgrade the bulb of the corner lights, use an LED bulb instead... They don't generate as much heat as standard bulbs and are obviously much brighter. But if you upgrade to LEDs you will have to wire in the proper resistor to maintain the correct blink interval.

I plan on using LEDS. I wanna do switchbacks but for 194s the car has to be able to reverse the polarity to the bulb when flashing because of the type of bulb it is. Otherwise the bulbs won't switch color.

be careful, depending on the leds, they are ONLY brighter in one direction

find me an LED bulb that fits in that w5w bulb socket and thats BRIGHTER
please, honestly. i'm sure you guys sat down to write an article over it like this idiot:

^ I stand corrected. Mike knows his shit (like always).
Anyways, doing this conversion well be ghetto fabbed no matter how you look at it. Don't do it unless you plan on making custom corner lights that can withstand more heat, and custom 1156 sockets wired in that are sealed properly.
