I have been acquiring parts for my S14 build. Im trying to build a mature sporty daily comuter that handles, brakes, accelerates, and has a slightly mature racey look. The only catch is im trying to use as much NISMO or nissan stuff as possible.
With that said a while back I purchased this kit for the car. At the time it didnt fit my style but I hadent seen one before and I didnt want to regret not jumping on it later.

Time passed and I just sat on the kit. Well Today I may be happy with the fact that I didnt let it go.
Just picked this beauty up for half the buy it now price.

^Agreed. Very cool steering wheel. Do you know if it just bolts right up? I've looked at a couple of r34 wheels before, but never saw a wood grain one

I agree guys immaturity is omited.
However, I think the wheel is bitchin and the wood grain trim has more of an appeal now that I have this wheel. (To the ebay buyer, thanks!.. but im sorry?) I stole this thing!
The wheel does bolt on and the air bag and horn plug right in. I will have to move my cruise control to some where else though. Fabricaton time!
Heres a slightly more informed list of parts Iv gathered so far.

ever considered picking up an sc300/400? they come stock with all this crappy fake wood bullshit and are overall better/stronger platforms
im just shocked to see people actually liking fake or real wood grain, ive always thought it looks horrible
any reason you bought "jdm tail lights" whats jdm about them? theyre the same from US and JDM

^ This.
IMO aero kits, wings, and flashy wheels have no place on s-chassis cars (I know I'm very much in the minority here) but I'm not going to insult someone for putting these things on their car if that's what they like. Doing woodgrain, chrome, and leather bits in an interior would be kind of neat if you drive the car a lot and want it to feel more luxurious. More power to you.
BTW, What would be really unique is to mold your own wood trim pieces to replace the factory plastic units.

When you atleast get your interior done, you can post it here

Until then, unfortunately, this will most likely be locked. Good luck though

Thanks for the input guys.
The reason I am building this car over an sc300/400 is well I own and love this car. Iv had it for over 5 years now and very few other cars catch my eye like this one. It was probably more the search that I had to indure to find one then the actual car itself.
I own several cars.
2 x 90, 300ZX'S
1 x 93, Accord
1 x 65, GTO
1 x 98, S14 Kouki
Most were sort of collected more then searched for. They all sit in varius states of disaray.
For the record my car lacks the the formentioned aluminum or metal/ shiney trim. It is wood grain accents all OEM Nissan stuff ( Thanks for the great prices guys) and later I will reupholster the rest of the interior to black leather/ red stitch.
I apologize if I did anything wrong by posting here but I ment it as general discussion openly asking poeples opinions, ?(around here that should be celebrated considering how often people force there own opinions on others when it isnt asked for. LOL, I guess its hazing? Please inform me why my post is illegal and I would gladly alter it.
Unfortunatly Im only installing necessary parts to the car right now. I am acquiring all the parts and then once I have them the car will go through a complete transformation. I have done this before and the fealing is so much more rewarding. Also it stops the possible theft or destruction of your prized rare jdm goodies during the build process.
However, I couldnt wait on everything so yes there are a few interior pics and since you guys asked for them I will post one or two of the car currently. Ill also post a pic of what caused all this immediate growth on the S14 versus say the GTO or the 300ZX'S.
Here is how she sits as of 15min ago. Notice the SE tweeter pods on the pillar trim, and the S15 knob and Red line boots. I have also added the security light on teh A/C trim and replaced both the A/C trim and many other fragile trim pieces that had been broken. Peap the JDM Kouki DIN gauges and even though you cant see them the white faced SE gauge cluster.

Not too long ago an older gentlmen backed his utility truck into my little Kouki this is the damaged that insued. Look closly and you will see that she is missing her teeth. It also took both head lights and the hood as well as a small chunk in the bumper. I was handed a healthy check for the damage and I went all JDM.

JDM Doesnt use a corner light in the tail lights, the U.S. ones do. Also I was under the impression USDM ones were a blueish grey and true JDM ones are black around the trim of the lights. Even though the JDM ones can fade to look like the USDM lights.

If that is true (cant remember), you realize you can just unplug the light bulb and you'd never know that they are USDM lights. And the USDM lights are black as well they just get sun faded over the years. Kinda like how 180SX coolant over flow tanks never crack and fall apart like the 240SX's here.
You gonna get the JDM Kouki headlights lights as well, They have bigger Projectors...

I actually had to buy the JDM ones becouse Texas envoked this new no cracks in tail lights law. So Nissan wanted 200 for the corner light and all new black trim ones for were 300 off ebay. No brainer to me.
Yes I do already have the JDM projectors as well as fog lights fog light trim and turn signals.
Should come together nicely. Here is how the exhoust sounds right now. Ill be changing it when I go to the new motor.

What's so special about SE tweeters? And what S15 knob are you talking about? Unless I'm missing something...?
This is an S15 shift knob (picture courtesy of nissanparts.cc) :

Ugh JDM projectors are so pointless, unless you get the optics adjusted to US spec you're blinding people instead of lighting up street signs. To each his own.

^^ IIRC his Shift knob is a J-Spec Z32 Knob. My S14 came with the same one

tail light and mold is the same
only difference are wattage specs between the US lights and overseas. i dont recall the JDM tail light not having a rear marker, but i'de consider that a con... not a pro.

True but one of the other goals with the project is to be as close as possible to a silvia K's Aero package. I want it to look like a left hand drive silvia K's Aero Kouki.
