contracts are signed, it's legally theirs now. They could sell it to you for however much they want. Good luck though!

who's name was on the title?

This is the only question that needs to be answered.

If one of their names was on the title, then they traded in THEIR 240SX, not yours, and were well within their rights.

just got back to let people know i wasn't able to get the car back today. and found out they the guy who sold the car to my dad rise the price for 1000 dollars and gave the car in for 800 so they just gave the car away they didn't lower no payments and i found out that on the pink slip its has my full name. me and my dad might have the same first and last name the same but not the middle names and on the pink slip it has my full name so my dad couldn't sign it off and the guy who sold it didn't checked sooo. i have to go back on monday

Okay, that was REALLY hard to read...
If I read that right, they raised the price of the car they bought a grand and gave them 800 for your car, so your car was effectively traded for nothing?
You and your dad have the same name, but different middle names, and yours is on the pink slip with all 3 names?
If they signed that off, then they had to have forged your name, and you have a legal leg to stand on, but I SERIOUSLY think you will need to get a lawyer involved to chase that waterfall and to that end, I PRAY you don't live with your folks, because friction is on the way.

take it to small claims court if your serious about taking legal action. hiring a lawyer will cost well over the amount it would be just to go out an buy a new 240. i would take it up with the manager of the dealership ASAP. good luck and kill your parents.

Very salient points, and I hadn't even thought of that.

The economy has long since killed the drift tax, people stopped getting retarded money for stock S13s 2 years ago.

That is why I am fine with living in NC

I had a friend recently looking for one, and I looked at 4 running ones for 1500 or less, and only one of them was a "dude, don't fucking buy that" to me. One other was only that because the seller was an ass, and he happens to be on Zilvia, lol
He wound up with a FC RX7 convertible, running very well, for that same 1500 because the last 240 we looked at was a passive-aggressive dick who tried to add 500 to the price at the 11th hour and still hasn't sold the car.

Shitty luck man, i guess you'll be keeping that shit locked up tight and the reggy (pink slip) close at hand from now on...

You could always rent a storage locker if the shit hit the fan...

But yeah, you should really sell the 240 and go back to school for something better than $10 /hour....

$10/hr around here you can get your own house. I have a 1700 sq ft house for the price of a 2 bedroom apartment. I started out around $10/hr and have owned my own house since I was 20. Its all where you live. Gotta live big city gotta pay the price.

Okay, so what I THINK you said is that you had to unass the money for your parents’ $800 down payment, PLUS another $500, all just to buy your own car back?
And it was not even theirs to trade in the first place?

Am I the only one who sees anything wrong with this?
You should probably start doing what you need to do to get yourself out of your parents’ house if they can up and decide that it is okay to forge your name to sell your property.

Oh, he got his car back, but he still has the problem of living with parents that would sell his stuff without his permission.
He is also trying to modify a car while living with his parents on $10/hour.
There still remains his apparent allergy to the use of punctuation in his sentences as well.

so yeah...
He got his car back, but he has not "solved his problem," but since the OP has requested closure of the thread...
