Ok so I just about wrapped up my fuse box relocation to my glove box. Everything is hooked up/re connected. All I have to do is ground my lights. Well before i finished I decided to make sure everything worked ok. Wasnt worried about the car starting. But I was wrong. So now whenever I turn the key to on, the start makes a rapid clicking noise and then when I try and turn it over, the engine tries to start (starter engages and engines turns). But it wont fire. Im no electrical genius and ive ran out of ideas. I used as much of the factory harness as possible and just extended a couple of connectors. Any leads would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, Josh.

are the injectors firing? the eccs fuse that fires your injectors is in that fusebox. if you fucked up the wiring for that, engine wont run.

Ended up being some bad grounds. Thanks though.

Bad grounds weren't my problem apparently. Car is doing the same thing. Got it to start the other night and it ran fine. Finished up grounding my lights today and then went to start it and the same problem happened. Got it to fire once with the starter still making the funny noise before and when I try and start it. When it fired today it started up then stalled right away. Could it possibly be more bad grounds? I went over all my wiring today and everything seems to be legit. The only thing that is not working right is my front turn signals. I just need to get the car started and put back together before it gets towed away from my parking garage... Any one have any tips at all? Thanks, Josh.

Oh and I am getting fuel. I smelt it coming out of my exhaust. So I am assuming I am not getting spark. Checked all my fuses/fusable links and they are all fine. And when I refer to turning over, I mean CRANKING. Sorry in advance if that confuses anyone.

I dunno man, theres only a few things it could be.

Did the car previously run with no issues before you took on the relocation or did you try wiring in a swap while doing the fusebox relocation?

Car ran fine before the relocation. No swap was done. Still running the factory ecu with a basically stock ka24de. The relocation is the problem. Ive went over everything (that I can think of) numerous times. What are some of the things that you think could be wrong? I need some more ideas for troubleshooting...

Ur battery could be bad....get it checked Autozone... And add more grounds! I have seveal on my car... Engine to chassis... Intake manifold to chassis (check if u got that one on) I got one on the radiator to the chassis, another one from the valve cover to the
Chassis.

does your fuel pump prime and shut off, or keep running?

Battery is fine. Its a yellow top mounted in my trunk. Just to make sure I even put jumper cables from the battery on the 240 to the battery on my Jeep. I started off by grounded the crap out of my car. Added grounds everywhere and double some existing ones up. So that is not the problem. All this time I thought the clicking sound was coming from the starter. WRONG. I finally had a couple of buddies play with the ignition while I felt around. When the key is in the on position and while the car is cranking the clicking sound is coming from a black plug on the back of the motor on the passenger side under the egr set up. There is 3 plugs back there, purple, brown and black. The sound is coming from the black one. I put my had on it when the key was on and could feel it clicking. It is so crammed back there for me to see what colors the wires coming out of it were and to see what it was connected to. Today I also verified that I was getting fuel and that I was not getting spark. Im guessing whatever the black plug plugs into is my problem. So does anyone one know what this black plug is for? I am doing to go through the FSM to see if I can find it but not sure how that is going to work because I could not see the wires. So if anyone has anything about this mysetrious black plug, id appreciate it. Thanks, Josh.

Edit: From what ive seen it the FSM it is either the EGRC solenoid control valve (which I would assume doesnt have a plug?) or somewhere right around that area. Thanks Josh.

It ended up being some bad connections between my smj box or whatever its called where all the harnesses tie in to on the driver side under the dash. Thanks for all the input though. Josh.
