Anybody ever made their own intake from like exhaust pipe? i think it wouldn't be very hard.. and probably less expensive by far. I think i'm going to try it? Post pics if you've made your own. Thanks.

Never done it, but if you do it, throw together a write up so that we can see how you did it

I did all my IC piping using mandrel bends.
For NA IC piping you could use something like this from when I had the SMIC:

Just buy a 2.5" U- bends (maybe more if u wanna get fancy and do a CAI, but u'd prolly only need another straight section), cut in half, and connect with nitrile radiator hose from a commercial truck store or race shop. Shouldn't cost more than $30 total. If it does you're not looking for good prices. Hardest part is gonna be the MAF to pipe connection, since IIRC the MAF outlet is 2.7". Might be able to stretch a 2.5" hose onto it, or clamp a 2.75" hose down (better bet I think).

NA dude (no pun intended).... just woke up. Rough night. Installed new cams but the '97 head is weird. See FA for details.
I meant to say intake... IC... intake... how about a freon filled IC for NA?? :hammer: :hammer: :hammer: :hammer: :bash:

Basically spent the night wondering if leaving 2 journals on each cam open at the rear. ran the car anyways. seems fine.
