I just did an sr20det swap and was wondering what are the benefits of having an aftermarket downpipe vs the stock downpipe???i know it has something with the exhaust but i might keep a stock exhaust for awhile to keep low profile here in cali.

another thing is the rims im trying to get is offered on a 4 lug but was thinking if i should do a 5 lug conversion??all i know is im going to have new hubs and more selection for rims but is that all the benefit of doing a 5 lug conversion....

4 lugs have better selection because they started making 4 lug wheels before Nissan was born. And they also take a lot less time to remove all 4 wheels. Think about it 4 wheels that have 16 lugs vs 4 wheels that have 20 lugs. You can remove 5 wheels by the time you remove 4 5lug wheels. Best thing to do is turn your down-pipe into an up-pipe, you will get way more power, and the sound will be awesome.

Bigger down pipe allows exhaust to flow faster; more power for cheap.

I have a 3" one for an SR that is beat up but still works, I'm in San Francisco/San Jose...

$30 for you home slice. PM me.
