Repairing cracked wheel

Hi people,

Sorry if this is in the wrong section. I can never guess which one is best!!

Exactly as the title. I have a Desmond Regamaster wheel with a 1 inch crack on the inside of the wheel, these wheels are forged aluminium.

Just wondering if anyone could tell me whether it would be possible to repair this properly.

I'm sure I read once that forged wheels are near impossible to repair?

If they weld it, I wouldn't suggest fixing it unless they heat treat it after welding. Besides that though I have no idea how they may or may not fix them.
