between those too, seibon is gunna be ur best bet. however, it also depends on when it comes out of the mold.

Personally I wouldn't run either one of those cheap Chinese Communists imitations. It's people like you whole ruin the scene.

Why not import a real authentic hood from a name brand Japanese company? D-max, M-Sport, BN Sports just to name a few?

D-Max hoods don't fit that great. And you have 6 posts so settle down with the "ruin the scene" talk, you aren't helping with your ugly Rhys Millen graphics, 4x4 ride height, nasty hood, or Fast and Furious eclipse roof scoop. Just because your car has loads of money dumped into it doesn't mean you have good taste, maybe the OP should pick up a corporate sponsorship, even though his car might be uglier than shit, at least he would have legit parts right?

lol you pretty much put him in his place

my friend purchased a VIS CF hood and it came out perfect, and the clear coat was fine until a couple months ago(had it for 2 years) turning yellow? and got a seibon CF trunk and the fitment was waaaay off, i think VIS would be better, haven't heard anything good about seibon

It doesn't really matter, mass produced carbon fiber hoods will always differ in quality from one to the next, and it's not like they're going to let you test fit hoods till your hearts content, get what you can afford.

If this is to assist in completing a conversion then I guess it makes sense you're looking for a carbon hood, otherwise the stock one is just fine.

You need to lay off the steroids dude, go be a online warrior somewhere else, you dirty chinese communist.

i had a vis hood, it fit great, i had a sebon one that fit great i had a dmax one that fit like shit.. its pretty random, its aftermarket mass produced crap.. it is what it is
alot of the time you can do some tweaking and make it look pretty good

hope you find a nice one!

no, its assholes like you that give the scene a bad name. not everyone is looking to be "jdm tyte yo!"

just because its jdm doesnt mean shit. just because its not jdm doesnt mean its shit. like i said before it all depends on when it comes out of the mold, unless its completely hand made.

and not everyone can afford the "jdm" price tag. the country has gone to shit now. people cant afford as much as they used to.

ive heard good and bad about both companies, so its pretty much random and how lucky you are.

Only TRUE CF hood you will find is a Kognition hood but I dont think they ever made any for S13's. All the brands listed are just fiberglass with a layer of CF on the top.

Really? I was aware that Vis was just a carbon layer, but I was under the impression that Seibon is the real deal.

What a douche. By the mere fact that something is not sold in the states gives you full rights to buy any knock off you choose. Why the fucking should anyone be expected to pay top dollar, then be extorted over exchange fees and transaction fees as well as pay double shipping to "support the scene".

I don't see JIC or Kei Office out there supporting my local drift events, but NOS and Ksport sure the hell are.

Seibon is another "knock off" brand just like Vis and Chaser.

depending on what your budget is id do vis but seibon has pretty good options too!

I approve both companies products as i can tell you first hand because we have been selling both Seibon and VIS products for over 9 years. They have their ups and downs but quality and fitment both companies work pretty hard to meet the high standards with the quantities they bring in.

You might hear Seibon more from the media coverage they do over VIS but both companies have years of experience with carbon fiber.

@ Garagemak, VIS, Seibon, etc companies are here for the people who cannot afford the high end stuff that Japanese companies make.. and in fact they are the ones who helped jump started "the scene" here in US with affordable parts so everyone can be a part of.

Makes sense. Seems like they put as much money into improving their reputation as the product itself.

Simple Logic:

People are too busy buying cheap imitations of the real deal is why the real deal isn't even distributed here domestically. Stop buying cheap copies and show companies there is a interest in original parts and they will be here. Supporting china is the reason why they aren't here.

M-sport. Here's the one you want to import.

They give you a choice of color also of carbon.
