So I'm pulling apart an sr20 right now to send to the machine shop to see if it is salvagable..I'm doing a full build but if the head an block are warped beyond repair I'll have to look for a new platform.

I pulled the head off and was looking at my sleeves...uhhh :tinhat:, now I'm not too familiar with sleeves an stuff..but I'm pretty sure they werent suppose to look like they did. I forgot my phone so I don't have pics, but basically...at one end of the circle, you can see the sleeve and looks fine, but following it around it would get thinner and thinner and basically looked like there was no sleeve at all on one end :(. I'd like to see a picture of some good healthy stock sleeves just in case...looks like if the block isnt warped too bad I am gunna have to go darton sleeves :mephfawk:

Here is a crappy PAINT illustration of what I mean...how is this possible??

Not sure if they rent them out, but Mazworx does sell them if you're that serious about using one.

Well unless my machine shop will make one for cheaper, ill be buying that one I guess. I am serious about using one, since I most likely will have to be boring out the block, and if I do, I might as well go 90mm. I wouldn't wanna spend all that money and work to just distort the block upon build and ruin everything.
