Hate Altezzas?

A friend and I did this a while back.. It made it's way around the internet but perhaps it didn't get here. This is for all you who hate altezzas <img src="http://www.zilvia.net/f/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':)'>

EDIT: Please note, this is in reference to the LIGHTS, not the Toyota Altezza car. &nbsp;If you must know, I hate the lights on the car just as much as the knock offs. &nbsp;Yes, I blame you altezza lovers for ruining a good car for me. &nbsp;

Geez 300 bucks? &nbsp;Where do you shop?

They were bought by a friend who thought they looked cool for the 5 months he had them on. &nbsp;Then he decided they were gay. &nbsp;So he painted them to see if he liked it and he still hated the look. &nbsp;So we burned them.

I always get one of these reply's every time I post it.. &nbsp;They weren't bought to burn, they just ended up that way. &nbsp;I would rather burn them than give them to someone. &nbsp; The rice stops here.

They dont look like altezzas to me...actually, they dont look bad at all, i think, id have to see them on a car and lit up to really tell.

They used to be the regular altezzas.. with the silver interior. &nbsp;But he took them apart and painted them flat black with body color around the edges of the lens. &nbsp;I'll admit they didn't look bad but I didn't want to burn a new set so this was cheaper <img src="http://www.zilvia.net/f/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/wink.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=';)'>

Yeah they didn't look too bad. I'd never put them on my car, but i'm sure they'd look good on something else.

What are you talking about, do you hate Toyota Altezza cars? or just the lights? the cars are sweet... if your gunna bad mouth the lights, at least say &quot;Altezza style tail lights&quot; &nbsp;because, now you sound like you hate a really nice car. As for me, I would love to Have a Toyota Altezza, and yes, I'd instantly trade my s-14 for one. That's right. It's a crazy drift car, AKA the new 86.

who had the pic of a M3 and a altezza, under the m3 it said this is your brain, and under the altezza it said this is your brain on drugs. altezza are nice, i would love to drive the new 5 speed ones just kill a few civics with the altezza lights. And as for trading my 240 in for one, NO WAY, a s14 would murder an altezza and its funny looking lights.

The Altezza as the new 86? &nbsp;This is almost as bad as Lotus = Civic! &nbsp;Similarities: &nbsp;RWD, loved by kids, Japanese, underpowered. &nbsp;Differences: &nbsp;about $20K (adj. for inflation), target audience, features, etc.

The 86 was a Corolla - an entry level sub-compact w/ a relatively powerful 4 cyl. motor and an old-fashioned RWD layout. &nbsp;It's competitors were Escorts, Chevettes, Citations, Colts, Sentras, and CVCCs. &nbsp;The IS300 (as we like to call it here in the states) is an entry level luxury coupe w/ a smallish, relatively underpowered 6 (even more anemic in Japan as an Altezza) and the standard (for its class) RWD layout. &nbsp;It's competitors are BMW 3 series, Merc C-class, Acura CL/RS and the soon to be released G35. &nbsp;One was geared to entry level buyers, the other to upper-middle class buyers. &nbsp;

Comparing these cars is ridiculous!! &nbsp;As for trading my s14 for one - sure I would... so I could sell it and buy an s14 and still have money to add to a downpayment on a condo! &nbsp;Crazy drift car? &nbsp;Whatever. &nbsp;Best quote about an IS - my girlfriend telling me about this car that I would laugh at b/c he put a Lexus badge on some econobox: &nbsp;&quot;That really IS a Lexus? &nbsp;But, it's got those funny looking lights and looks like a cheap car...&quot;

Hippo Sleek, Your Wrong. I'm right. If you didn't know an Altezza was a crazy drift car then you better ask somebody. Check out some Drifting competitions and you'll see, sure, there are marketed to a different audience, but the Altezza IS considered the New 86, and all your RANTING isn't going to change that. if your jealous then... what can I say.

Hey - thanks for setting me straight. &nbsp;God, what was I thinking!?! &nbsp;All that proof you gave me - and from you - such a scenester. &nbsp;Where are all the good drifting competitions that you are attending anyway? &nbsp;The only ones I hear of are in California where the 86 is the dominant car, followed by the 240 and the RX7.

Okay - that would be too easy. &nbsp;How about you give me five reasons the IS is the new 86 (and &quot;because I saw a lot of them in Option videos&quot; doesn't count b/c that is a fact of editing not life). &nbsp;Here's five more it is NOT: &nbsp;WEIGHT; beam axle vs. IRS; revs vs. torque; coupe vs. sedan; lsd standard vs. optional.

And yes, I am very jealous of... ?
