what does everybody do to stay in shape? i've kind of fallen into a routine, stationary bike, jumping jacks, occasionally doing crunches, excessively long dog walks. i have a set of free weights i never use, thinking about clearing some garage space and getting all kevin spacey in there. do you guys exercise? i know plenty people who don't, and i also know people who work physical jobs who just don't need it. just curious where i fall in line with the Zilvians.

masturbation 3 times a day counts?
i'm reading that 20 minutes of seated masturbation burns 25-35 calories. welcome aboard
I go to the gym about three or four times per week, still fat. Hour of cardio, half of strength, half of weight.

I work on a drilling rig. I don't need to work out. But we've been shut down for 2 months, and I've gained 20 lbs.

about 2 weeks ago i got pretty sick. in that time dropped about 10 lbs. took me from 220 to about 210. decided it was time for a life change and used that as a jumpstart into a diet. down about 4 lbs since i started last friday. i know its mostly water weight but the immediate results have fired me up to change myself. looking for a low impact routine designed mostly to tone up. i don't really wanna bulk up much. just tone what i already got.

how's your diet? water is huge in weight loss. as is a good diet that emphasizes eating small throughout the day to keep that metabolism going.

no exercise at all, just work at a warehouse as a manual laborer.
I might do push-ups once or twice a week, but that hardly counts.
yeah I could probably lose 5-10 lbs, but honestly I'm fine with myself (6' @ 170 lbs).
I'm not overweight, have a good relationship w/ my gf, and eat whatever I want (I just stay away from fast-food).
only health issue I have is slightly higher than average cholesterol, so what?
Have no real incentive put effort into anything that serves no purpose.
working out is not for me.

Strength training 2 days a week, muscular endurance 1 day a week, cardio 3 days, jiu jitsu 2 days a week, wrestling one day, boxing twice a week. I want to pick up some more Muay Thai soon, all I get now is what I work on during MMA training. This is my regular week schedule, just picked it back up after about 6 months off and 30lbs gained since my last fight

push-ups, pull-ups, crunches, free weights (upper body), plyometrics and yoga is my exercise routines.
I leverage a lot of the routines in P90X, I just dial back the amount of reps and rotations.
I've completed the full P90X workout already.

I walk/jog my dog a few times a day before/after work. Additionally, i do a full weight lifting routine at the gym. Its real typical. To swich it up, i go on youtube and watch AthleanX and pick up some new movements and throw them into the mix to work out the smaller muslces that iso lifting dosn't cover.
I also eat fairly healthy. I do eat fast food quite often as well, but i make sure I keep within my calorie margines, and get a dose of a variety of nutrients.

Play basketball, skate (longboard cruises with the dogs and shredding the park), jog, and occasionally lift/crunches/pushups/squats.
Walking by itself just isn't enough for me...I do at least 1 of these a day for about an hour if I don't work too hard doing other things.
Such a shitty feeling when you know you're out of shape

basically did that plus the drinking a gallon of whole milk thing for a bit (about a week and a half of a gallon a day but have since cut back to about 1/3 a day cause of school and work) and gained about...ten pounds in a month or so ? easy way for skinny guys like me to put on some weight :D
*oh also play basketball probably three or four times a week and ride my bike to school/work when im feeling up to it

is it possible to retain water weight from drinking to much water ? most of my life i never drank water.. like literally i always drank flavored drinks maybe 1 cup of water a week, now im drinkg a large bottle of it a day. and my weight didnt change. but someone was telling me i need to drink alot more water and ever since i did ive seem to put on weight alot faster than ever before. i mean im not blaming it on water i havent been eating that healthy but usually i never gain weight this fast.

Its easy for me to not drink soda.. infact my whole life after about 15 i ate nothing but junk food and soda.. i basically only like to eat what tastes really good and drink was tastes good.. after i turned 19 i was 6'2 at about 175 and never drank water.. then when i followed what someone said about needing to drink alot more water... i noticed my weight seemed to be more sensitive to my diet. id what it is but i went from 175 to 220

my issue is actually getting working out into my daily life.. i have nothing to do all day. but im just not into working out.. nor have i ever been. i remember along time my neighbor really pushed me to do work out on his bow flex and i did 3 days a week for maybe a month and just kinda got bored of it.. its almost like if im not able to ride my dirt bike or work on my car i really dont wanna do anything else

used to downhill mountain bike and rock climb, both of those got to expensive so I've just been sitting on my ass for awhile, don't think I gained any weight (6'1" @160) from not doing anything just lost muscle and endurance... started up going to the gym recently and I love it gives me something to do whenever I'm bored, also rode the worst bike ever 52 miles to the shore the other day in a little over 3 hours pretty happy about that

set up my free weights today. the stationary bike isn't really doing it for me. not enough going on. anybody own an elliptical? i've used nice ones at gyms, but the home versions always seem to blow. also i masturbated standing up today for extra calorie burn/distance

Right there with you. Gyms are boring to me... people keep saying that you get a high from working out constantly but I never got one, at least not addicted to one enough to keep me going back.

6 days a week at the gym. 1 muscle group a day. Went from 185 to 141. I'm back up now to about 148. I'm trying to gain some more muscle. Before 2013.
Go to the gym for yourself. Have a goal and stick to it. You might not always get a high from it. I can't say I got it at all from lifting but mostly when I'm doing cardio.
Just try not to be lazy and you're good.
