I have a 1996 240 and a 5 speed swap was done not to long ago to it and they left the old ecu in there so its throwing a check engine light. My question is, will a 95 manual transmission ecu work on my 96 and take the light away? I ask because I was given a 95 manual ecu but I wasn't sure if it'll work or if it'll mess something up. Just need to take this check engine light off for smog
