I seriously doubt it. How long has Yokohama been around vs. how long has D1 been around?

bah what a piece, it isn't signed by any drivers, like my volk's banner for instance with Nomura Ken, Ueno, Drifter XL, and a few others. nor is it as cool as my Suzuki Cappuccino Initial D card signed by Taniguchi, nor as cool as the Falken t-shirt I grabbed in a throw out and had signed by kobuchi. By the way my banner wasn't "stolen" per se, rather it was procuredn by me so some other unscrupulous fellow couldn't get his dirty hands on it. Now it resides on my wall safe from harm. =)

you had taniguchi sign an initial d card? your such a moron
that's like asking micheal jordan to sing your sammy sosa baseball card
i also saw some other idiots have keiichi sign intial d cards, a dumbass brought koguchi a dunlop tire to sign
im sure for the most part they know most americans dont know crap about drifting but im sure they are thinking 'this kid is a dope'

Dousan chill out bro. Maybe the kids had nothing else with them for these guys to sign. This type of thing happens all the time. Most people don't ever think they will get close enough for the "famous" person to sign. So they don't bring something that pertains to them. It may have been a spur of the moment thing. Not everyone plans things out the way you do.

nothing wrong w/ a handshake smile and a thumbs up
i watch kids ask these people for autographs, hand them the wrong thing, and after they sign it, the kid just walks away. no eye contact, just throw it in front and leave.
the kid doesnt even say THANK YOU. people just think 'autograph' and thats it.
d1 drivers arent gods. just normal guys who have been doing what they do for years.

Remember though your not a little kid that is seing this for the first time. Baseball players and football players are not gods either but to and 8 or 9 year old they are the greatest thing to walk the earth. I agree that people just throw it in there face and never say thank you. Trust me I have experianced it.

yeah but these arent 8 or 9 year olds. these are 16+
oh for the record, i got my d1 book signed by all for sale on ebay..enterprenuer! (spelling was WAAAY off) hahaha

Alright you asshole, I didn't have anything else for Taniguchi to sign, and yes i DID say thank, had a freakin smile on my face from freakin ear to ear and gave a small bow in gratitude. I know it isn't the "right" thing to have them sign, but who freakin cares. Oh, i guess some online dweed like you has nothing better to do then to find fault with others. My suggestion to you is too chill out. Just becuase someone else's ideals (i.e. in this case coolness factor of said autographed card and usage as a conversation piece about trip) don't correlate to yours doesn't mean you should rag on them. Didn't your mother teach you that???
Dousan_PG
10-23-2003, 10:11 AM
nah dood
my mom didnt teach me it
i learned it myself
im always going to give ya a hassle. its just a part of life.
i never said you werent grateful i just said it was stupid to have someone sign something that doesnt even pertain to them.
online dweeb. dood you can meet me. im not online. i track my car. i was at the d1gp (spectator of course), driver search driving, driftshowoff 1 and 3, drift days and various such events..so on and so forth. im not some mystery person hiding under the bleechers or behind a keyboard. :)
ill be at the jspec garage sale if you want to talk with me in person. ill be working for sam for the day.

I know that you track you car, i have been reading zilvia for about a year now and have seen ,any fof your posts. I should have specified when i made that comment that it "seems" that a good portion of the posts you write are hacking someone down, although some have merit many others do not. And to the Initial D card was the better of two evils within my wallet at the time, it was either i have it signed, or a pass to Centerfolds. Although I'm sure the centerfolds would have been quite humorous i felt my Initial D had some connection to the event. ^^
If i am ever in the area i would be glad to meet you someday. Maybe you could give me some drifting tips~~

they usually let u take th banners after the race is over.
that is what they did at the '02 race wars in san antonio.
right after the final race people got to cuttin. it was ok too

The real question should be why anybody had an inital D card in the first place :hammer:
Inital D = the suck
entertaining little cartoon, rivaling dragonball z...trading cards are for little kids.
What if I had a dragonball z trading card at 18 years old and took it to bruce lee (if he was still alive), can you imagine how lame that would be?
Anyway, cool banner.

i am at fault for having the wrong thing signed by the wrong person. i.e. Komatsu's bumper signed by Koguchi and Yamamoto.

Its not a trading card, the initial D card is from the arcade game, silly, why the fuck would i have a trading card??? Think.

I'm sorry, I don't spend my time playing games in the video arcade. I've never played the game. Who would think you'd have a card for a video game anyway? It's still retarded to have them signed though. I'd rather them not sign anything than some stupid shit like that.

The card is like a memory stick for the game, it has your car and battles and other info on it. Now you know. Andno matter what anyone says about the stupidity of it, I still believe it was an applicable object for autographing. Not like they have Dorifto Trading Cards for them to sign, yet....
