I did use search first so dont :axe: me.

Hey I was searching for a black interior for my s14 240sx. I have a pearl car with that crazy green interior. I have no experience in this matter and dont know what to do. I believe searching for the interior from a junk yard 240 is the best way to go. If anyone could provide me with some insite on this subject it would be greatly appreciated.

You can use some vinyl dye... they have different colors. There's a few people that have done it on here. I think 95BlueS14 did it...

yup, junkyards.. or you can buy it from people on the boards.. or you can dye it like i did. i used sem dye, vinyl prep spray and some vinyl adhesive spray. just mask away, clean the surface with vinyl prep, and then spray with adhesive spray. theen, spray the dye on. i never had to remove the dash or door panels. just masked everything really well and sprayed slowly and carefully.
as a finisher i used armor all to even out the color and make it a little more smooth.

pros: looks a lot better than that crazy green interior
cons: dust sticks to it like flys on shit and the surface is a lot more rough.

Can you give me all the specifics on spraying the interior like where to buy the stuff.

I have tried to buy stuff from people online but by the time I find the post the items are gone.

Also any body had any experience with getting the parts from a junk yard.

thanks :D

well.. your in ohio right? hmm... i got mine from a local distributor shop here. look online for sem dye and maybe it'll list local distributors where you live. im certain the vinyl prep and adhesive stuff can be found at the same location.

Thats what im talkin about!!!! Thanks I guess I could use both methods. How much you think a junk yard will charge for the interior parts. Is it possible to find a 97 front end???? In an junk yard.

Also I am in Columbus Ga. I know there are alot of junk yards in the atlanta area.

I had the same teal interior which I thought was fugly...so me being stupid I rushed to spray paint my interior. In no time it was chipping everywhere. So I wouldn't use a dye or spray...except on the dashboard. I learned from my mistakes and I managed to source out a full interior piece by piece. I got really lucky when some guy at a junkyard gave me all the plastic piece for a total of $62...even that trim around the steering shaft. Right now the only part of my car that's painted is the dashboard....I used some vinyl spray paint and it holds on nice.

im about to have all my interior:

Dash board, door panels, a-pillar, steering collar, vents painted and clear coated my a local airbrusher for 300$ He says he has done it more than once and the special clear coat he uses stands up REALLY well to the abuse interiors go through. Ill keep you all updated.
