Went to pdm racing and checked out their brake pads. I had no idea the brake calipers were different. I guess 97-98 calipers are larger. The weirder thing is that when i went to parts.com they listed the price of the 95-96 caliper as $248 and the 97-98 as $119.

I do believe the 95-96s with abs use the same pads as the 97-98s. iirc it should just be the non abs zenkis were different

Nothing new here. '97-'98 all use the "ABS" pads/calipers/rotors. The rotor's 2mm thicker and about 5mm larger in diameter. The caliper is significantly heavier.

but does that mean all 97-98 have ABS?

no it means that with the decreasing sales the cut costs by using one set of calipers across the board.

it doesn't even ditinguish between abs and nonabs for calipers or pads. weird.

I just recently found out about the difference from a friend of mine who has a kouki S14. He picked up some Project Mu pads for his ride only to discover that they don't fit his caliper. Lucky for me, I will give those pads a nice home on my zenki's calipers. :D

They should be ok to daily drive in, right?

yeah i noticed the 95-96s being more expensive than the 97-98s, so to set it straight for me, would 97/98 calipers fit my abs equppied 95?
