i havent done a SR swap before but im sure lots of you have. I know some of the basic stuff for the SR swap. So get this... I was gonna go with a s13 sr20 motor but ehh... its so common. I heard a s14 motor will go better in a 240sx. So if i do go with a s14 sr20 i need the s13 sr motor mounts and a s13 sr oil pan, correct? Wiring is my biggest issue, i suck balls at wiring man. What if i buy a complete s14 front clip and transfer almost all the wiring from it to the 240sx inc. the climate control and all that stuff. would the s14 climate control fit into my 91 240sx dash? man im stumped on this one. I guess i need to hang out in the shops and watch what they do. Any info would be greatly appreciated

Almost everything you need, (http://www.zilvia.net/f/search.php?s=)
everything else. (http://forums.freshalloy.com/ubbthreads/search.php?Cat=)

You'd still have to custom wire the wires going to the 2 plugs by the battery and the wires going to the dash. I suppose you could transfer over the whole fuse box but its probably easier to keep the s13 one.
Not sure why you would need to swap the oil pan or motor mounts

hey those are just search pages!
Well at least lemma now the major differences between the s13 sr harnes and the s14 harness? Is there any major changes?

yes there are
stop looking for handouts and do the research!

Yeah, there are a lot of differences in the harness, but most of those wires are going from the ecu to the engine. Those you dont have to worry about because you'll be using an S14 ecu with an S14 engine.
The things you need to do custom are:
Fuel pump relay signal
Tranny sensors such as speed sensor
Power wires for ECU and ignition
AC signal
Wires going to dash
Actually, there isn't any more wiring you have to do to put an S14 motor in a USDM S13, than there is for a S13 SR. It's just different. S14 FSM's are availabe for download. The S14 ecu also has some functions like wiper control that arent done by the ecu in an S13 and that stuff you just wont hook up.

would i be able to use a JDM S13 climate control on the s14 harness? Or did they change the connections on that?

the internet isnt that friendly to 56k users :( but im DL'n the FSM right now, should be done in about a week

Yeah, I think so, because the only communication between the climate control and the ecu or the motor is the ac on signal. You would have to solder that one wire on the ecu to one coming from the climate control, but you would have to do that to get AC on a normal S13 HVAC controls.
Sucks about the 56k but there are a number of pages you need from that fsm, because you will need not only the ecu pinouts, but the harness locations.
