I want to install a new top on my 240 but I have never actually tackled on something like this. Is there anybody out there close to the LB, LA 562 are that has done it before and love to give me a helping hand hehehe...by all means I`m not reffering to helping me out for free.
If someone has done this before and knows what they are doing please PM me, text or call me at 562-416-3854. I`d appreciate the help.

read the FSM for the vert, it's around the web someplace...
but i would just take it to a shop and have it correctly installed, it's your top were talking here, something that incorrectly installed could mean a big leak or even a tear...

Damn dude I really dont feel like paying 400 bucks for a shop to do it when all that holds the top down is staples, glue and nuts...seems easy enough compared to a ls1 swap hehehe or any kind of other swap. I`m pretty sure someone out there has done it before and it came out perfect.
Trust me, take it to a shop to get done properly! I changed my rear window and backlight assembly which took me 8 hours to do, which is much simpler than the whole top. It took so long because it has to be stretched just right and you have to assemble alot of the fabric off the car and then hopefully when you assemble it to the car, it stays stretched properly, not too tight or too lose.

Ha ha ha Ls1 swap might be easier

I did it myself :)
Took me 8 hours to get the whole top and rear window done done. Hardest part is getting it back on and not getting wrinkles. I'm in 310, but only days off are sundays. Still need help? pm me.

I didn’t want to start a new thread, so does anyone know a shop in SoCal area that has done s13 vert tops before?
