I have received many requests from people to look for the JDM S14 optional rainguards. However, they are just too rare and it's almost impossible to find them. Therefore, I was wondering how many people would be interested in them if we get them made.
I wasn't sure if people just wanted them because they are genuine JDM items, or if it's because they are functional and other companies don't make them for the S14. So I want to get some input before going into it. Thank you very much.
The price will probably be around $45 shipped.

It's the part that's on top of the window that covers it a little, so that you can open the windows a little when it's raining, or keep them opened in the summer and don't have to worry about rain getting in. Also, it's a lot more quiet when you are driving with a crack opened windows with the rain guards.

How about making them for hatchbacks.
Then Ill get a set!!!
I think you (or anyone) should make rain guards that extend to the rear windshield, then became a little spoiler on top of the rear windshield... I think that'd look good. (seriously!) ... now if only I had the photoshop skills required to make such a chop... :p

yes they do. it was factory option in Japan
ive seen 180sx and silvias here in the USA that have them. they are nice. dorifto almost got a set but when we found out we can get oem replacement (aftermarket) types from japan, doing that instead. much cheaper then a 10 year old one that has been in the sun for 10 years heh..

no offense to the people that want em, but damn, that really messes up the lines of the cr when you look at it head on. i live in western virginia(NOT WEST VIRGINIA) and they are all over the place, they make your car look like it would fly a way if it had just a little more extension, but just my .02

i asked the dealer here cause I want some and they said you cant do it cause theres no frame around the door to put them on and youd have to make sure the windows are rolled down a bit when you close the door. Does anyone have any other pics of how they look or install?? I cant quite picture it but I definitely want some

it sits in teh little 'ridge' above the door
go look at your door area. the black strip above /around front to top of door has a small 'slit' it goes in there and get 2x taped on too. hard to explain. when u see it you think 'AHHH!!!'

If someone could provide me with detailed pictures of them, I would probably get them to be pretty close to OEM ones.

I'm game, I just dont want the huge ones that some people put on thier cars. some are a 1/4 the size of thier windows. If they are the same size as the the ones in the pic I wouold buy a pair the day they are ready.

Yes, I've seen some on Astros (van) which were about 5 iches out. horrible...
I think the key is to make them as low profile as possible (to stay within the style lines and make it look stealthy) but to also make it functional.
