Trunk help....

89 240sx coupe One of my rods came out of my trunk now it wont stay up how do I out this back in ??? And I heard you can put shocks for the trunk tried searching for it and could not find it anybody have any ideas?

For the coupe there rods that holds up the trunk I don't know what they are called

no the rods he speaks of are like the s14 i believe. what u do is you have to twist them and create tension on it. You have to take trunk off to make it easier to do it. becareful they can pop out easily and smack you in the face. make sure you have a buddy help hold it down use prybars to twist it.

yep. Trunk tension bars. Its the "spring" design nissan used on the coupes. they make an overlapping X form. I can grab pics if you need them?
