now we're getting somewhere...

you still need to keep the stock ign cylinder (& key) to power the ignition. Or you can get rid of it and put in a toggle switch (race car style), but that would be kinda stupid for a street car

The push button should only engage the starter motor. It's a simple single pole switch.

Find the wires going to the ignition, and identify the starter wire. Basically, there's a +12V power supply that gets connected to the starter motor when you turn the key all the way. Take the starter wire and the +12V supply at the ign switch, and connect them to your push button switch. It only has two terminals on it, correct?

you want to remove the push button and put it back to stock?

Is there a stock ign switch & key in there now?

so if there isn't a key now, how do you turn the ignition on? or is it not currently running?

is the wiring/plug for the stock key switch still there?

oh theres nothing there at all theres not ignition.there are switches to turn the car on.then you push the button to start the car.no key is needed.

gotcha

hopefully whoever put in the toggle switches kept the stock ign switch plug and jumped the wires...although they probably just hacked it up.

here's what the plug looks like:

you can also just trace the wires from the ign toggle & push button switch back to where they came from (close to steering wheel hopefully).

it should just be two wire you'll need to connect (from ign power & start) as long as the stock plug is still there.
