hey i also have a nissan 240z, and well im looking for some 3 spoke advan oni style wheels. i think they are a very japanese styled wheel and would fit my z well. Does anyone know of other companys that sell them other than the actual advan oni, keep in mind i need rwd offset still,a nd i want 17x7, i might go 16x7 but preferably 17. here is a pic of the oni just for some reference

p.s. a company called trial makes a wheel called the zelda that is close, anyone know where to by them or where to find them, i cant and i have searched yahoo, altavista, and google.

some company with ads in sport compact car or something has some dual three spokes that aren't too dissimilar...
Don't forget the Super Advan SA3R, which is a more modern version of the Oni. Also a very, very nice wheel.
Other than these two advans, 3-spoke wheels are very rare, I don't believe I've seen anything decently nice.
Your wheel size choice of 16*7 and 17*7 are ass, and you will not (as far as I've ever seen in catalogs and databases) ever find a 17*7 in +/-0 offset. That wheel width on a 17" rim is almost exclusively for FWD cars that don't have the power to spin more rubber/wheel.
ditto on the 16s, except you'll find a lot of staggered 16 sets, usually in MR2 and FC TII stock (read: skinny) sizes. Get a good set of 15*7 +/-0 for your 240 and be done with it! Enough wheel posts!!!

yeah I saw a supra in "super street" with those trial zeldas, they are really sharp.
anyway the ones I saw in a magazine are in the november 2003 super street on page 122, the company is trix motorsports.
www.trixracing.com
they offer free shipping on wheel/tirepackages.
And they offer the nakayama racing sports "racing star" which is a dual three spoke with drilled lip design. The only sizes listed are 17 and 18 but prices are only 899 for 17 with tires and shipped which seems pretty low.
forgot about the o.g. wheels:D

thanks blog, for all the results, i really appreciate it.

im more in for 16's i would say but if i could get something that looked like an oni or something like that i would go 17
i hate fender rolling, flares, all the negative camber and all that, a z really has a small wheels area, namely in the back, i would really like to find something running 8 in the back, because i plan on my rb swap in this z and will need the traction. But the reason for the 3 spoke is when i think of a japanese car i think of a 240z, and when i think of a japanese wheel, i think of the oni, so i would like to put them together., im not doing this z classic or anything, im doing full carbon fiber interior, stainless rollcage, recaros, carbon gauges, carbon hood and spoiler, mercedes benz brilliant silver paint, i want to to basically be a mix of stainless steel and carbon fiber. Im in to the industrial contemporary looks, not the ricer boy +48 offset super hot led mirror with purple and pink lighting crap.
blah blah blah, damn i talk to much

i cant find them on the site but if the are nakayama they probably suck as far as quality and weight, after all they are made by eagle, i think

Er, I have 17x7s (two of them) on my 240 and I'm quite certain that it isn't "riced out". Thanks for your opinion, though. He should do whatever he wants with his car, however, in my humble opinion, tri-spokes just look funny. Maybe it's the market saturation of tri-spoke hubcaps - there's a lot of j-bodies with those around here.
Good luck with the wheels - I want to see some pics when you get them!! :)
