Hey Guys, having a bit of a problem with my idle on my series 1 RB25 motor. I'm using a Q45 TB w/ Q45 TPS (yes the cold start plunger is already off).
Here is whats happening:
When the car is cold, it idles really high (somewhere around 4-5k im assuming). I don't believe my tach is calibrated, but i can just hear the motor. It's pretty damn high considering the car is bassically on cruise control going 40mph when in 3rd without stepping on the gas.
Now, heres the weird part about it. The idle will stay around 4k...UNTIL i shut the car off, then turn it back on after its been warmed up. Once i shut it off then back on the idle will then become "normal", but this after the motor is already running at normal temps.
Things Ive Done:
- Cleaned TB
- Cleaned IACV
- Checked for vac leaks
- Messed with idle screw
Somebody, please help me out! I'm going insane wasting tons of gas just sitting at red lights!
:trogdor:
Thank you.
