there are eight 240's on ebay right now. i mean, COME ON. it's like that for all the older cars, it seems. either things are getting rarer or private parties have given up on ebay motors, what's the hot shit right now? i feel like i'm out of the loop lately.

car specific forums like Zilvia. Find a car you want, join forum, use classifieds. I mean...don't you see the influx of noobiness going around here as an example?

sure, but i'm not going to hop on every car specific forum on the planet just to peruse fine automobiles i dream of owning. i just want to look at a Ford GT in the color i like, it calms me down. now i have to register on some Ford GT site and make five bullshit posts to see their classifieds? aw hell naw.

well, okay, it's really just 240's and second gen f bodies. i really want to own a 70-73 Firebird before i'm 30. red, ram air hood, like in American Beauty. license plate "I RULE".

seriously should i be checking out Autotrader or some such nonsense?

Craigslist is loaded with 240's and other cars. i know it's not the best place to look as far honesty goes but the pickings aren't slim.

ya craigslist...too bad you cant search all states at once. it seems they only keep ads up for a month or two anyway.

I got my kouki from autotrader from an old man, first owner. I dont think old people know about craigslist yet.

the thing is, you CAN look up whatever you want at once, but it's through workaround websites like this, so you wind up with a mile of crap to sift through, lots of "no results found" taking up your time, lots of duplicates, so on and so forth. sometimes keeping it simple is stupid.

Craigslist / Crazedlist

It's pretty simple if you are good at weeding out mess and scan reading.

Craigslist is where I got all mine.

But to be honest, I feel like people who are selling on craigslist are there to rip you off. I haven't come across a single car where they weren't asking too much or trying to rip me off some how.

But still, craigslist, lol. I look for free shit on there too.

I would trust autotrader so much more because that is where the older generation is used to. Older generation = first owners :)

CL is great in my area because it's chock full o' sub-700 dollar project cars, many of which are American classics with only minor cancer. I get lots of ideas just from surfing CL. Plus, I've scored a bunch of wheels for dirt cheap.

I've bought two Koukis on AutoTrader... pretty legit.
Whatever happened to searching through those car classifieds you get at the gas station and driving around to used car lots? Oh that's right... the internet happened.

Pretty much. Though I did find a Mark Iv Supra TT for 22K in my bank's news classifieds.

Also, I think Craigslist is only worth a damn in bigger cities/states.

So you might have to search California CL and just have the vehicle shipped back.

I could imagine that cities out in BFE would be pretty sparse for interesting buys.
