Aside from getting the chase bay booster delete, wtf else could I possibly do to remedy this? Also getting a smaller turbo is not an option.

Have you tried to tilt the motor all the way (if you looking at the motor from the front of the car) to the left in the motor mount slot

Have you tried to tilt the motor all the way (if you looking at the motor from the front of the car) to the left in the motor mount slot...also what power booster do you have...you can get a pretty slim one off a s 14....that's how I freed up some space on mine...

well incase anyone else runs into this problem - I got a s14 manual brake booster which gave me a good inch and a half - 2 inches of clearance for a turbo blanket...

Which top mount do you have? I am really considering buying a CB booster delete kit. I wonder if we start a group buy if we can catch a price break.PM me if you serious about a group buy. Ill post pics off my setup when I get home tonight trust me ur not the only one with clearance issues with TP mounted turbos. Seems like every manifold in the market has this problem for the rwd guys for sr20det. And then an top pf it being close like this it makes fabing a DP even harder.

theres is some clearance in the pic it looks like its touching but its not. If you had my TM you would of had more space. In this pic the BB BMC is from a ABS automatic version so it diff alot bigger then a 5spd BB BMC. Going to either go OEM non ABS or CHASE BAY delete kit.

That is good example of LHD vehicles are not SR friendly..

I'd say get different manifold

i dont know about all that who knows how much he spent on it. Might not be a option for him, sounds like he wants to make it work some how. ill post up a pic of a slimmer BB that might help him a bit. just need to find the pic first i got it somewhere

Possibly look at getting a Trust MidMount Manifold, it will sit the turbo noticeably lower which may help, picture attached is a TD06, seems like your turbo is possibly bigger so may not work even..

Otherwise heat wrap it, and see if you could possibly get a turbo bag to fit over it also?

Quit being cheap and do the booster delete.

Looks like you got enough money to build a 450+rw SR. So don't cheap out on the kit.

Unless theres some other reason why you won't do it?

money wasn't really an issue so much as I didn't want to lose my power brakes for something so silly.

What I did do was get a brake booster from an originally manual s14 - which are, well, take a look at the picture... may be useful for the guy above sorry I didn't catch the name before quoting this guys post :)

also fwiw it's a full race twin scroll 35r 1.06 exhaust housing, they never sold anyone the combo for a s14 so they had no idea I would have any issues

Didn't want to lose your power brakes? What....

You don't.lose shit except for the booster with the delete kit.

They had no idea it was gonna cause problems because it goes onto an engine from a rhd car. There isnt anything for it to mess with on that side.

I drive the car in traffic and it's a safety issue, it's already a TON of fun to get it rolling in first gear with the triple plate, why make the car even harder to stop if I don't have to? It would have been more expensive to get the booster delete, so not a 'fat lazy american' more like a smart american... you prick :)
