FREE exhaust

Ok how often does this happen, it was Early august and i was trying to order an HKS HI power exhaust i tried about 3 places and all were out of stock, and i tried one last shop out west. i placed and order and about 2 weeks afterwords i recieved a call saying they were out of stock and would not be recieving anymore, they tried to talk me into ordering a diff company but i was set on HKS. SO reluctantly i went to a local so called speed shop (rice store) to see if they could get one in, to my suprise in 3 days i had MY brand new HKS exhaust.

it is now mid october and what arrives at my door but another HKS box that looks like it got ran over by a truck. For some reason the company i ordered from out west sent me the exhaust after i cancelled the order. even on the envoice it says: total shipment cost:$1.00
hahahahhahahahahhahahha i wish i would have waited to order the one at the local speed shop and saved the damn money.

Shop out west: 0 ME:1 (free exhaust)

So are you going to return the one you bought from
the ricer store and keep the free one? Thats a
pretty sweet deal! Same thing happened to me with
my racing petals. It took so long to get here that
I called the company and asked if they had sent them
yet and I guess the guy sent out another set or
something because I got a second set in the mail
like a week after! Is the exhaust that you got for
free in good shape or is it messed up like the box??
If you wanna sell it let me know. :D

i am deffinately going to sit on the free exhaust for a couple of months just to make sure they aren't going to try and charge me.
I was thinking of taking the free one back to the ricer store and playin like i never put it on my car and seein if they would give me my money back and send it back to their distributor (highly unlikely). if not i will prob be selling it i will post an add when i decide wwhat i am going to do.
I may just hang it on my wall in my room, as it is quite a beautiful thing to look at.:)

Anyway i am stoked that i got a free exhaust i wish they would have accidentally sent a turbo kit along with it and maybe a set of coilovers or something but im not lookin a gift horse in the mouth.:boink:

one time I ordered a couple cymbals from a company and they accidentally sent 2 of the same $200 Zildjian china. I kept them both thinking it was a sick stroke of luck. 2 months later i'm recording some drums and i notice my favorite cymbal is cracked.

when i bought the grand am gt i had, the mirror was broken. when i wrecked my car, insurance paid for everything and i got a whole new door with new mirror. I thought that was a sick deal, until i was backing into my garage and smashed the new mirror off.

coincidence? i think not.

I think blaming the fact that you were involved in a one car accident inside your own garage on karma is a bit off the mark...

considering i back into my garage every day and dont hit anything, it's a bit odd that it happened. Especially since i was stoked to get something replaced for free that wasnt damaged in the accident paid for by insurance. I think you are a bit off the mark concerning the point of my post.

there was no mention of "blame" in my post.
