So far 2 cars have made me think "I wish my car sounded like that!" See, my car doesnt have a voice, a personality, you know? I dont want some ricey sounding / lookin muffler on the back, but im very unsatisfied that my car doesnt have any real exhaust note decides a raspy grunt off the line and then just noise from there up

the 2 cars I refer to, unfortunately are both fords. One was a late model probe GT, the other was a taurus SHO. Both sounded different but the probe was a nice mellow hollow quiet tone that I am in love with. my friend has a MX6 V6 which is the same thing. The SHO was a mildly loud, powerful sound that reminnded me of movie car chase sound effects. So the question, again, is this: How do I make my car have a nice sound like that without spending an arm and a leg AND make it look stock. Im also getting a header in the spring I hope.

Does anyone else share this desire / concern?

If I were to put a probe GT muffler on my car would it sound close to the same?

well i don't think you can get the 240sx to sound like either one of those cars. Reason being the probe gt is a v6 and the sho is a v8. As you know every car has a different sound to it. Your best bet is to spend the money and go with a good exhaust for our cars. I shouldn't have to name them i'm sure you know.
