It's about that time, I am about to finish with my SR swap finally! im getting ready to pour fluids in this mofuga then ill be done!(power steering, coolant, oil, tranny) but before I do that...

i would like to know how should I prime the engine? do I dump all 3.5 qrts of oil into the oil cap, disconnect CAS sensor and crank? clarifications please as I do not want to screw up my internals on my first swap. :dead:

on mine i disconnected CAS and injectors and just cranked it in like 10 second bursts. i hope you installed it with assembly lube

assembly lube? hmmm I didnt rebuild the engine or anything, it came straight from the shop i purchased it at on to the chassis. should i use it no matter if i rebuilt it or not.

yeah assembly lube is a must. how else are the parts going to move if theres nothing to protect surfaces? anyhow, if its built from a shop, you should be alright. just prime it the way i told you

i dont believe the shop i bought the engine from "built" the SR lol. im under the impression that it came straight from a japanese salvage yard through a boat set sailed to california and delivered to a shop called "Venus" and customers such as I, come n buy the engines as is.

Anyways... when i was manually setting the engine to TDC for the CAS sensor install, the crank turned pretty smoothly so i think i will be alright?
