Hey all, after much debate I have chosen to sell my wife's 89 hatch and search out a 91+ hatch. Originally this car was intended for an SR Swap, but I have decided to go KA-T since I already have an SR car.
Here's the details:
General Info:
1989 Blue 240sx Hatch in College Station, TX
170k miles with 15k since rebuild
5 speed
Power Windows/Locks/Mirrors
Teardrop alloy rims
91+ front end
Clean Title
Good things:
Runs very well 20mpg in town 27mpg hwy
COLD AC already converted to R132a
strong, almost new clutch
new brake pads and rotors
Decent Pirelli tires
no more pignose front end
Not so good things:
Needs paint because it has a black front end on it and some of the original paint is oxidized
Small dent in rear QP, but easily fixable when you get paint (doesn't interfere with any "lines" in the car, just needs popping out)
Usual wear on drivers seat
Dash is cracked (car originally came from Arizona) but it comes with a new black dash
I will be the first to say that the car is not perfect, but it is in really good shape, all it needs is a paint job and for you to replace the dash and it will be an excellent daily driver or a good candidate for SR swap. I will post pics later today when I get out of class. I am asking $2400, but that price is negotiable depending on your leet haggling skills :D I am also willing to drive up to 3 hours from CS to deliver the car or meet you, so this range includes Houston, Austin, San Antonio and DFW.
BTW: Right now the car has S14 seats, Tein TC rods and a HICAS rear swaybar, but if you want those things you have to tack another $550 onto the cost of the car. All original equipment will be reinstalled prior to sale unless you want to pay extra for it.
If you have any questions, please feel free to reply back to this post or e-mail me at keylempa(at)tamu.edu
Thanks!
