Last nite I finally installed my SPL RUCA's on my S13. They are VERY nice products, I highly reccomend them. I put them in along with the front T/C rods. A VERY easy install on both items as long as you have a breaker bar. Anyway I was wondering when I installed the RUCA, the part ( i think its called spindle or hub carrier) where RUCA attatches to, there is a bushing there I believe. Now the RUCA eliminated one bushing where the eccentric bolt is (replaced with spherical bearing) but the other bushing still remains. Are you suppose to pull that bushing out? It looks like if you did the bolt that goes through would not be secure. Or is there an aftermarket bushing you could put in there? Do most of you guys just leave that bushing alone? Just wondering because I am trying to get rid of all the bushings possible and replace with spherical bearings. Thanks everyone.

Leave that bushing in...or you could install aftermarket polyurethane bushings (from Whiteline) or slightly harder rubber bushings (from Nismo).
edit: When I said slightly harder rubber I meant slightly harder than stock.

Yea I left it in. Any ideas how much of a noticable difference there would be with installing a harder bushing there? Any other options?

I just installed these last weekend and I noticed a really small space in there so I put a thin and wide washer in there to secure everything.
We also offer spherical bearing type replacement bushings that can be pressed in, but they are very expensive ~$180/pair (unlike ruca or tension rods, these bushings have a very low demand/production, hence the high price).

ACK!! i wish those bushings were cheaper
i got a JDM tyte bling bling s15 subframe going in now and i want to make it 'track stiff' haha
ill order those subframe spacers soon! :) seems the bushings on the frame (stock bushings the 4 mounting points) are in EXCELLENT SHAPE (under probably 15k miles) so no worries there. :)
