dude is really easy to replace the antenna mast in ur antenna assembly and you can buy them from ebay for like 8 bucks.

I just bought a nice short black stationary antenna from autozone and removed my motorized one and tossed it in the garbage, the antenna works great and looks great, only cost my $9.

The reception is excellent, I forgot the name of it because I threw the wrapper away, but they have various sizes and materials its made out of, and its the only short black stationary one there. Installation was very simple also.

sorry but i know its not anything about the topic but, related to it, and i was curious my self, but im curious about what if you wanted to cover the antenna hole instead of replacing it and installing a new one.? how would you do it? would you have to welded it with something new?

i don't know much about welding and stuff but im assuming u can just get a small piece of metal that'll fit that hole and weld it to the body. add some kind of filler to smooth it out and just repaint over it.. probably can find out exactly what to use from a hardware store. can't be much $.
