everyday i think about this, if you read my last post i'm debating between the 5ziggen and kosei k-1's
i'm not goin for anything but performance gains here, i'd get a 16x7.5 wheel to match up with my existing 225 dunlop's, i know turn-in will be better with the wider wheel, but basically i'm wondering what you think will make a bigger difference in lap times, the lightweight wheels or the 5ziggen fireball, i really don't know
also, does anyone have pics of anthracite wheels on a black car, i'm kinda skeptical as how this will look, thanks in advance

I would think better (lighter/wider) wheels would increase lap times more than a gain of 10hp. I don't know for sure though.

Guess i'll be the first to say go for the Kosei's.  Just simply a good rim.  NObody seems to like the fireballs but they aren't that bad.

1 vote for the Kosei's.

I think the 5Zigen exhaust will make a bigger difference.  Yes the wheels will be lighter and wider, but running the same tires so the gains, although there will be some, I would guess will be less than the 8hp or so you will gain with the exhaust around the track.  Keep in mind there are big gains (based on dyno pulls people have posted, its what I'm looking to get as well) at the top of the rev range which will let you accelerate faster at the top end and reduce the need to short shift if you do.

If it was an upgrade of both wheels and tires I would say to do that.  Plus the exhaust sounds and looks pretty badass, and the stock 5 spokes are pretty decent looking for stock.

If you want light anthracite wheels, my choice is the OZ superleggeras.  A little more expensive than the kosei's, but I haven't seen a 240 running them yet.

Here's some eye candy for you

My friend has these on his VW golf 1.8t and they are very sweet.

As much as I like the kosei's for my white 93 hb, I'm trying to find something else just because a lot of people have them already.  Though in the midwest I'm not too worried about seeing 5 240's a day rolling on, them since I've only seen the K-1's in person twice.

It's better to have a nice set of lightweight wheels opposed to an exhaust, IMO.  For God sakes, my car has intake and exhaust (which didn't do much for me at all) and I'm rolling on hubcaps.  That's ghetto looking.

thanks for the opinions guys, i've come to the conclusion that it's really not gonna make much of a difference, 1 point gets asessed for either modification and i'm guessing there is a reason for that, i said 5ziggen because i heard that gives the greatest HP gain, how much is that thing anyway, the usual 500 or so?  anyway, i've looked at the picture on tirerack with anthracite's, but an actual picture of somebody's car would still be helpful
