were almost done with the 1jz 240. here is a pic.
weve found that a rhd s13 throttle cable fits perfectly.
the shifter sits about 1.5 inch more forward. will modify the shifter to fit perfect.
the heater core fittings hit the rear turbo intake. will notch intake to fit.
besides that, it was a good fit. there is about 4.5 inches of clearance between the steering shaft and engine. much better than the 1/4 inch sr guys get.

What plans you have for the Turbo/Turbos?

on the turbos, were just going to leave the stock ones on for now. they start to come apart past 14lbs so that will be the limit.

dousan, i would let you drift it but i actually sold it. you might have to pry the keys away from the new owner.

were looking at about a month before it is up and running correctly.

I bought it for a lot of money...hehe. Technically I bought the car and a whole bunch of other crap, then traded my SR and some minor stuff for the 1JZ. Now I'm too broke to buy Tein HE's and tension rods. Arghhhh...no drifting for me for a while. DAMN IT!!

Aaron, you can drift it when you buy me Tein HE's. Aight. Cool we have a deal.

What were the major modifications to make it fit? Using the stock harness and ecu with it?

How's the exhaust working out being on opposite side of stock? I was really considering this option a little while back.

on the weight. the car actually sits a little higher than it did with an automatic ka24e. so i guess it actually may be lighter in front. the tranny is pretty big so it probably move some weight to the back.

i used to do exhaust for a living so i will build a custom exhaust that crosses over to the other side. i am also building a sweet downpipe/y-pipe for it.

the only major mods are the custom motor mounts. you need to get a front sump aristo oil pan to fit in the crossmember. also, a small notch needs to be made on the shifter hole. as the shifter sits a little forward.

i am using a stock 1jz harness and ecu.

I have no knowledge of that engine. I have little knowledge about engine swaps, but I've never heard of a 1jz engine(correct me if I'm wrong). So could someone explain to me whats so good about this engine?

You farksticks! I thought I was going to be the only one on here with a Toyota powered Nissan. lol. Nice job. The 1JZ's bang-for-your-buck factor is ideal compared with Nissan in-line-six choices. Maybe I'll be the only IJZ Z32. Probably won't last long though. lol.

the 1jz Z32, looked like an awesome project. It'll be cool to see it all done.
