This guy is trying to scam me and at least one other member that I know of so far out of our money. Here is a link to his for sale thread...

the first thing that popped into my head when i read that post was scam....kind of reminded me of that famed ian guy who scammed 240sx ppl hard

hmmm...yea..that thread does seem odd..I think I was bout to buy a B&M short shift off him..

If you dont mind me asking what has happened that leads you to believe that he is scamming you. By the way if you payed through paypal you can use them to get your money back. also his thread seems sketchy due to the fact that he wouldn't answer the question about were in florida he was at.

I believe that if it has not been more than 30days you can file a complaint with the fraud department and they will go into his account and shut it down and take all the money he owes you out untill he provides prove that the item was shipped. at which point they wait 5 days to see if you receive it and then they make there decision on if you should get your money back or not. its a nice set up. you should try it. I did and it yeilded imediate results. in fact the individual had already sold my items to friends and had to go retreive it from them to ship it to me:)

He says he's at school. Well, pulaski street is right next to Univ of South Carolina. Here's the USC directory: http://web.csd.sc.edu/phonebook/ You can search for "godfrey". His parent(s) live in Deland, FL.

***Is anyone on the board from Deland, FL or Columbia, SC??????? I sent him money a few weeks ago. He emailed me saying he recieved it Oct 3rd and I haven't heard anything since. I've emailed him 3 or 4 times since. People like this make it so much harder for legit people to buy/sell stuff over the internet :bash:

Thats where I sent my MO to as well as 2 other people that I now know of. I also looked up his address and saw that he lives right by that school so tomorrow I will be calling his school to talk to one of the counslers and tell them whats going on as well as his local police dept. Hopefully someone from down there will either talk with him or pay him a visit. eeterp send me an e-mail or message me on aim (Esjojo Sanchez) so we can all talk about what we are going to do to get this guy. Thanks.

Also, thanks for the replies guys. I would like to try and keep this at the top until this gets resolved also to try and let anyone else who may be getting scammed from this guy see whats going on.

about getting money back from paypal its only half true. paypal blows, i had an experience. anyway what happens is you file a complaint, they take thier sweet ass time up to 30 days and if they find you were scammed they go to that persons PAYPAL ACCOUNT and if there is money in there, they take what is owed to you. but thats if there is money there and anyone that uses paypal knows when they recieve a payment they take it out and dont let moeny sit in an internet account. what happened to me was i paid fo a motor through them $2300 and the guy scammed me for it so i filoed the complaint, 30 days later they say i was right and got me $2.68 out of his account cause that is what was in his account. yes that is 2 DOLLARS AND 68 CENTS. so i had to go to my bank and talk to thembout it cause i used my debit card. and paypal would not release the guys personal info either.:axe:

oh and the name "lost240sr20det" reminds me of ian from lost projects that scammed a bunch of people.

thanks for that link... This person girl or guy is a goddamn scammer and will not spend the 10 minutes to respond anyones e-mails... oh well!
