Pretty sure wasting gas wouldn't be the result of a good fuel pump. GLWS

It's not wasting gas unless your FPR is bad...even if you're flowing more fuel the FPR is still regulating the amount of fuel you're getting.

I have a built KA with a walbro 255 and I still get like 20+ Mpg...

So your going to tell me that a stock fpr can handle all the fule and pressure the new pump is bringing? I dout that. Cause idriving my car for twenty minutes I can see it drinking gas. Before I never had this problem

Yeah..that's what I'm telling you haha. I have a walbro and noticed no difference in fuel consumption.

Whats the point in having a FPR if it doesnt regulate fuel?

Besides decreasing mileage could a bad FPR stall a car when in neutral or when i have the clutch kicked in like at a stop sign?

^hey, just recently (lastnight) my car would not stay on, it kept dying when I was at a stand still. Bad fpr?

Lol i Agree with the other guys. Only if ur fpr is bad would u be wasting gas... And yes it could cause stalling at a stand still. But on a side note... If u were closer this would be mine haha.

i think you might have installed it wrong because i have a stock twin cam for now and i have a 255 walbro fuel pump and nothing has changed on my car just reopen your fuel pump cover and look back around in there maybe one of the hoses is broken or if what you said is true that your watching your gas gauge go away maybe you have a leak in your gas tank or your gas gauge cluster is broken

I'm going to check out my fpr. Are work. I have a spare one. If anything ill buy a nismo fpr from work. If that doesn't work I'm fucked lol

I'm going to do the same. It didn't do it today but still. Also, at random times my car smells like gas...

Leaking injectors maybe.

Leaking injectors maybe.

Perhaps, like future stated, my car also is running a bit on the rich side.

Well i'll stop thread jacking now and give it back.

Still wondering what kind of prsure you should see out the regulator.

Also my car at times wants to die like when I'm parking. And at a stope it idels very low. Around 500. Again I ask, signs of a bad fpr?

correct me if im wrong, but i believe the fsm says fuel pressure for the 240sx should be 33psi at idle around 40psi at full throttle. to check proper flow rate put a fuel pressure gauge between the fuel filter outlet and fuel feed pipe. this will tell you if your fpr is faulty or not.

i would also check all the fuel lines/hoses as well as fuel injectors.

So off my fuel filter and into the fpr? It doesn't have to be after the regulator?

^ The fuel line coming from the fuel filter DOES NOT go into the FPR, it goes into the rail, the line coming out of the FPR connects to the return line back to the fuel tank.

Excuse my misinformation, put the gauge after the fpr. It your fpr is indeed faulty, go for an adjustable one if you can afford it.
