It's not my video. It is a fellow videographers car. He sold this and is selling his 14 to buy a built 13.

Where's the sadness? I understand dumping money and memories into a car but at some point you have to realize it's just that, A car. I would like to say your friend has some editing and filming talent, I enjoyed the video. If the outcome of this is a "built" car then I can't see the sad part, Bigger and better is the way to look at it.

its not a car though. a new car is just a car. when you spend countless days if not weeks working on it. talking to it when it wont start, having your first sexual encounter in it(:D) it makes it more than just a car. some guys have a better relationship with their car than their wife haha. sad but true.
... some guys have a better relationship with their car than their wife haha. sad but true.
I couldn't agree more. :D

Ah Norm, I think that is not the only reason. LOL One of multitudes is more like it.
Great cinematography, guy who shot it belongs in Hollywood with those skills.
I think it just speaks to the emotional attachment some of us develop for certain cars. For me it would more like be the S30. Even though I do love my S13 the car that really gets me is the S30. It being the first real sports car I owned and kept for a long period of time.

Truly epic movie. I too, have been there as well. It's amazing how some of us live chapters of our lives with relation to what car(s) we have at any one point. I will never sell my S14 after watching this. Too many memories and some that still haven't happened yet like driving the "Tail of the Dragon" and cruisin' to Super Autobacs in Cali followed by a drive down the infamous Californian Coastal HWY.
My girl understood from the getgo that cars are my passion, my life.
She was like: "That's great, it's not everyday you find a man that is passionate about something, even if it is just metal and plastic. At least I know that you're doing something that relieves day to day stress instead of chasing other girls!" She's a keeper. In return, I support her hobbies and we enjoy it together.

Not flaming here, but let me speak to you as someone who feels that it's not just a car. I had my first 240 taken from me - the sense of loss after losing something against your will that you'd poured countless time, money and energy into is not something that can be forgotten quickly.
No worries if you feel differently, but that's my perspective.

I can understand that, I didn't make my comment with any intention of driving this thread off topic. What do you mean taken? Totaled? Stolen? That's kind of a different story, Selling is voluntary. Either way I can see the perspective that some have where the value of the car can't really be put into monetary value. I myself just don't feel that way or atleast I haven't owned a car that made me feel that way yet haha.

Yes, this, she wanted to keep my coupe and I get the stupid scion tC, my ass, I kept my 240sx, bet she just wanted to sell it because she didn't even drive a 5spd, what a bitch.
I love my 240sx, I can't imagine wanting to get rid of it.
New GF knows my 240 comes first, she's ok with that, my alternator went bad last year, came to my GF's house and said she had a present for me, she said here, this is for your baby girl, I open the box and it was a new alternator! It was even a brand new from the local Nissan dealer, she said she didn't want any cheap shit for my car, I almost cried....lol

Vandalized in the middle of the night. Totaled by insurance and towed away, just like in the video.

I almost cried...i just sold my first 240. the s14.
3 years. Learned how to drive with her. broke down more than a few times. changed the color 3 times. even took a saw zaw to her to make her look beautiful. I sat in her for about 30 mins....just saying good bye.
More memories to come in the next chasis. I will buy a unmolested 14 down the road to make a daily.
I was terrified those chains were gonna rip off the FMIC and all, as if the car wasn't already going through enough- with the separation anxiety and all.
