After a wreck, my girlfriend is buying a car within the next month. Her price range is $13k and she is looking for something that drives really well. She cares more about how it drives than how it looks.She is also must have one that is reliable and on the cheaper side to repair.

I am taking it upon myself to help her since I am living vicariously through her until I graduate next year and have the money to buy a sports car lol.

I'd love to hear some of your opinions about the driving experiences of various cars.

She's open to anything as far as sedans, coupes, convertibles, and what not.

I'd say go with the GS300 from personal experience. Super smooth ride, really quiet when driving, and as long as you keep up with the maintenance on the motor it will give you no problems. If I had to do it all over again, I wouldn't hesitate to buy another one!

Tell her to get a Toyota Yaris 3dr LB, You can get them for brand new for near 13k and slightly used for a little less, reliable as fuck and you're going to want that gas mileage right now with the way gas prices are. Plus I think it's standard with all the airbags you need ;) add some wheels and they don't look to shabby

On a high note, we fell in love with an 05 legacy GT. I love the all leather interior, very tight steering, and reasonably good power. We didn't like this one though (cheap aftermarket wheels and it was in red) and realized how rare they are. This search may be harder than I thought.

So we decided on the Legacy GT. It was kind of funny because we were looking at an is300 and I only noticed it because it had an STI grill. My girlfriend is absolutely ga-ga about it. I'm pretty excited because she seems to want to tune it too, not just use is as a DD.

The only problem is that they are very hard to find, so we're probably going to have to travel out of state. And it has to be black or charcoal. Apparently she wants it along these lines with the STI Enkei wheels or the Rota Gravel

We decided that she would be getting a legacy gt and I will be getting a 2005 audi a4 2.0T AWD. I will be commissioning as a second lieutenant in the army next year, so I have to have a car that is professional, decent space, and all wheel drive.
