Okay, I just want to share a little solution with you guys.
Anyone that has an Injen or similar intake system with the CAE knows that the hole opening in the engine bay for the CAE to fit through is way too small. The pipe fits but barely and it rattles everytime you hit a bump or start up the car. I'm sure some of you can relate to this. Well I found that there's a solution to this annoying rattle. DOOR MOLDING!! You can buy it at Autozone for about 2.50. It's the piece that will slide on to the ends of your door to save them from scrapes and such.
Just simply take one of them and cut out a couple measured pieces, about 3-4 inches long, and slip them on the straight edges of the opening that the pipe goes through. Viola!! no more ratttling and the hard metal edge won't rub against your aluminum intake pipe causing a deep groove and also damaging the rubber connector that holds the pipes together at that point.
I don't know how many people have this problem, but in my s14 it was driving me crazy for the longest time, then I just got fed up with it. Give it a try, or if anyone else has any other solution, post it!!
Good luck guys. Happy racing!!!!
