I tried the reverse. SOHC Injen intake on my Ka24de........fan shroud got in the way and the pipe was slipping on the throttle body no matter how many "adapters" I tried. But who knows, you can fit it if you got the time and patience.

Oh this was when I was on that "cheap and try anything phase" if you want real power, bolt-ons wont do it. I learned my lesson, and I'm just gonna save up for my engine swap WOO HOO skyline power here I comee!!!

Just look at the engines! the SOHC intake comes out of the intake manifold almost straight, the DOHC comes out as a weird almost 45ยบ angle. Also, the section from the fan shroud to the throttle body appears longer in the SOHC. So in short, If you are going to use this intake with either the stock fan or fan shroud, I doubt it will fit. And If you want to hack your own to fit, you might as well send it over where the battery is for cooler air and shorter length.

I haven't tried to make one fit, so I don't know 100% that it won't fit. If you are getting it for Free or supercheap you might as well try to spend an hour or two trying to make it fit.

the one across the KA24E is a Pilot motorsports bar (as evidenced by the PM sticker!). The other is probably PM or maybe eBay.

Probably is E-bay on the KA24DE, kinda looks like the greddy/trust one I got, but the one in the pic doesnt have the Trust sticker on it so its a imatation.

i got a free dohc intake and i connected it to my sohc...it requires you get a few extra parts...first a longer flexable black rubber piece that connects to where it says 'eccs'so that the angle which you connect the intake can be slightly adjusted so the intake will fit around the fan shroud 'properly' (i used the peice from a 91). next is the small hoses (2) that connect to the intake to the engine and other stuff... your going to need to have 2 long and very carefully positioned hoses..they need to come out of the intake and go under it (with out kinking) and then connect, also you must becarful because they will be close to the fan. they both will wind up being in a S shape. the intake pipe wont be able to be bolted down with the standard bolts so you need to get new bolts or zip tie it to the fan shroud. then you need to make a hole for the o2 sensor yo can actualy use your old rubber peice that you replaced (thing that connects to 'eccs') put the o2 sensor in the hole and silicone it...or if you wanna keep that other hose that used to connect to the air box just shove the o2 sensor in there and get a longer lenght of hose and connect it and then connect to the maf and then to the intake. i dont think i left out anything...i dont have pics because i didnt like how it made my car feel i think it has to do with the lenght of the 2 small hoses messing up the vacuum... hope this helps...though it is a bit of a headache to get done...it you reaaaaly want i will reconect the mess and take a pic
