sssssSCERRRRRREeeeeeesshhhh
That good enough?
Perhaps a kind member that has one, can forward you to a file. I heard two, pretty loud. Last about 1.5 seconds in my estimate and their are louder ones. Saw one with three trumpets once. Absurbd.
I personally do not like the loud BOV's It reeks of rice from my perspective.
Do you want to prove you are turbo boosted. IF anything, I would want it hid.

I like louder ones on the track: its great hearing the blowoff over the sounds of your tires being lit up thru corner going sideways - THAT is not ricey :D

I think rice is stuff done for aesthetics that doesn't help your power. A turbo kit will make you power. On a car like mine, my car is straight up beat but I still want a BOV. Is that ricey?
If the reason you get a BOV is cause your friends think its cool than it is rice. My personally, I love the way my exhaust sounds, some guy from japan once said he thinks that how your car sounds is half of your experience from driving it... if it sounds good you will have more fun or at least enjoy driving it more.
Thanks why I would like a bov that I can hear... that sounds good. Because I think it adds to my driving experience.

If you listen to a stock skyline/34 it does not have mch noise, BOV or all, it it will own you.
I called the BOV tone "rice" because I myself truly believe a sleeper fast S-13 or S-14 that make little to no noise is the way to go...and especially if it is very fast.
Rice=Show, or above Show' Out. I think a screetching BOV is part of the show...again=rice
A seriously fast 240 without all that horrid sound is most impressive, just quietly pull away.
Also, BOV=Cops hearing=Arrest and impoundment.
You surely don't "want" that.
Personally, Fuk BOV that are loud. It is ricey IMO.
Just my O, you are entitled to have yours, not my choice for you to do what you want to do...it is only my O.

You seem kind of ignorant...
The purpose of blow off valve is not just to sound cool or for show. BOV prevents turbo leak at higher boost level. Without a bov, its hard, if not impossible, for the car to take higher boost without turbo damage. That will limit the ability of the car to go faster... In another word, its hard to have a "sleeper fast S-13"...unless u consider stock sr at low boost fast enough.
In my opinion, its boring to drive a car that doesnt sound good. Just like a video game, if a PS2 game has gameboy style 8 bit music, you wouldnt enjoy it as much.

Are you being serious? Because if you are, then YOU are the ignorant one. BOV is to protect the turbo from being damaged when you close the throttle body.
If your turbo is spinning ~80k-100k rpms (which most do at max boost) and you close your throttle, that pressure that is still being formed has to go somewhere. If it's forced back onto the blades of your turbine, they can shatter, the shaft can snap, and all sorts of other fun stuff can happen. Either way, it's bad juju.
Recirculating valves and BOVs are built to relieve that pressure and allow the turbo to keep spinning at the same rate, instead of being MASSIVELY slowed down by a backsplash of pressurized air.
For my money, the Sheepdog Prof BOV is the best sounding one, but for your needs, i'd say pick up a Greddy Type S. :\

awwww dammm you lucky bastard hahahaa. They built a police department like 3 blocks away from my house, I get tailed sometimes just pulling out the drive way, and I don't even have my exhaust on. dammm...I envy you so bad...........lol.
anyway, a BOV is either ricey or not on how you look at it...
first being ricey is to attract attention in the wrong way, ex. too many stickers that don't match or from manufacts. of products you don't have, too many lights or more then a christmas tree, loud azz exhaust or signs of performance you don't have or can't back up, and the list goes on and on.
A loud BOV kinda helps the engine out by releasing trap air that didn't go into the throttle body/intake manifold/ something like that. Cuz putting in fresh air before old air was released out and mixed kinda hampers on your performance and other things. So as long as the Turbonetics Godzilla BOV works as well as it sounds, all for it. Hell I even wonder what it sounds like cuz I kinda want it too...but then it might attract too much attention.
Yet it does come with a trumphet that can be taken off and on, they also make another BOV, called the Raptor I think. Also, XS engineering makes a RFL (really phucking loud) BOV. lol. I think it was XS engineering....dam my bad memerory....

My point is...
Yes a BOV is vital to have and their are quiet ones available.I personally would not want a loud BOV if my car were turbo.

ok I actually saw some pictures of cars using this BOV... and I can't say I would recommend it for any street applicatoin. The thing is friggin gigantic! I dont see how it could make any noise at all, most bovs get their "ppsshh" from the rush of air through a small passage. bigger valves like greddy type R usually are pretty quiet due to the large amount of air they flow...

i love my BOV, HKS Super blow off valve (not super sequential)
mine's serious and quick, just a quick Wooosh, and it's all gone.

well I didn't feel like gettin just a stock oem type carbon fiber hood after the accident tottaled my stock hood, cuz I knew I was going for turbo in the future and the reverse style vent would let out some engine heat. Besides I put power/perfomance before looks. If I could I would still keep the out side of me car stock after my engine swap. Cuz to me, why get a kit and make your car look nice if you have no power to back it up. but thats just my way of thinking, I think my car looks best when racing/drifting/in motion instead of just parked. But then again, thats just me......

Holy cow that Godzilla is huge. The pic that they let you see doesnt show the size of it but on that guys truck wow. I need to hear it though. Has anyone heard anything about this BOV thanks

I still wanna hear it too. I've heard the Turbo XS RFL bov on a WRX, sounded kinda high pitch at high rpms. From all the reviews I searched they say the godzilla is very deep and loud. Hell, its on my list of things to get after my swap then :). hopefully the flange will be usuable with other types of BOV so I can change it with smaller quiters ones on weekdays.
