Hi Guys,
I just wanted to post this up. I finally dyno'ed my S13 SR that I put together a couple months back. I was pretty impressed with the results and just wanted opinions. It did 408.5 whp @ 16.9psi.

Setup:

CP pistons 8.5 cr 86.5mm
Stock Rods
ACL bearings
Cosworth 1.1 head gasket
ARP studs
BC 264's
BC springs and retainers
Greddy adjustable cam gears
Enthalpy rom tune
Sard 850cc
Greddy intake mani
Peakboost turbo mani
Garrett GT3071 w/ ATP turbo .63 a/r & 3" vband exit
Tial MV-S

It was dyno'ed on a DYNOCOM dyno.

Coming from a 2871r setup, I expected this turbo to be a little laggier. But it honestly out spools my 2871r. On the street, it hits 17psi around 3.8k. I was told that boost plot on the dyno wasnt very accurate.

Those are some nice numbers. Makes me want to ditch my GT2871 for a GT3071. Have you ran your car at the track yet?

It's a huge improvement over my 2871r. My 2871r setup was identical other than the exhaust mani and intake mani and it made 337whp at 19psi. The 2871r made more power up to 5.5k but after 5.5k it tapered off. Where as the 3071r pulls pretty good before 5.5k and but really starts to shine after that. I know the intake mani has a little to do with that as well.

Ive only ran it a few times at a the local 1/8th mile track and the best i could get on some 245 feddies was a 8.0 @ 94.3 mph with a 2.0 60'. Had major traction issues.

Seems like torque comes on very late/lazy? What tune, intake manifold, cams are you runnign?

Some changes in the above mentioned things and you could easily have a 425+ whp car, and torque coming on much sooner.

he should push up to 450 with a better tune using a standalone

My motor was rebuilt with oem parts about 20k miles ago. I'm currently running a GT2871r .64 and just had it dyno'd tuned with an Apex'i PFC about 6 months ago. You think it'd be safe to just change out the injectors, exhaust manifold, turbo, and retune without upgrading to stronger internals.

Enthalpy Tune, Greddy intake manifold, Brian Crower 264's. The cams have not been degreed yet and that may have something to do with it. The head was decked when I rebuilt the motor, so I know the cams with definitely be out a little bit.

What do you mean by the torque? Mine seems to be similar to the other dyno sheets I have seen with the same setup.

You graph looks very similar to mine. I considered a 3076r, but decided to keep the 71 since I was running a single scroll manifold. I'm really surprised that it made the power it did on 93 octane.

You really think a standalone would net me that much more power?

the full GT30 trim 3071 is much more responsive then the 2871
im talking about the 60mm turbine trim T3 version of the 3071 it is much more responsive compared to the 2871

If you did make more, probably not more then 420whp at the same psi (17psi), I think standalone is just a good investment in terms of flexibility and safety.

Got any dyno run files? I'd love to see those claims over time, as I've yet to be in any 30r varient car to get near a 2871 or 28RS in terms of off boost response and or torque ramp up.

Thanks for the compliments. I've been out of town for a while and couldn't get back on zilvia.

Could you elaborate a little more on this cody? I have my setup posted in the first post.

nice build and numbers! personally,i would think a 3076 would be a better choice for an all out t3 setup...if you wanted a 71mm compressor you could have stayed bottom mount. and i doubt a 3071 will spool faster than a 2871. this is because the gt30 .63 turbine is slightly larger than a GT28 .86 and would therefore spool slower. that dyno sheet shows the 3071 coming up on 15psi at 5500 RPM

if you have ever been in 3071 setup you would know thats a huge misconception

Thanks man. Like i said, the boost plot wasnt very accurate. On the street I have 17psi well before 4000 rpms with the 3071r. And my 2871r with a equal length silkroad manifold would hit 18-19 psi around 4k. Just because on paper it looks like the 3071r should spool slower doesn't mean it actually will. And remember, this is only for my particular setup. I'm sure other people will have different results.

A bit late but was the GT2871R on an external gate like the T3 GT3071R?

5000, 6000, 7000, Where is the 8,000rpm? Look at that plot man, she doesnt want to stop at 7,000rpm!

Looks fun to drive :coold:
