Falken Azenis is great for grip and is cheap. "JDM" wheels can be found at Jspec.com and also at wheelchoice.com to name a couple. PLEASE SEARCH! The red search button and GOOGLE is your friend!

17's dogg! by 7inch wide !
195's! plus 45offset!
no way... don't listen to nitekids. you want some 19" rims that are 7.5" wide, and get some 215/40/19s to run on. That'd be JDMtyteYO.
On a more serious note, if you drive a stock 240sx, 16*7 with 205/50/16 all around would be good. If you're making a little more power, maybe 16*8 with some 225/45/16.
For that extra bling, maybe you want to go 17"... in which case 17*8 and 225/40/17 (not sure on sidewall height)...
on the other hand, if you've got an SR with big turbo swapped in your car, the above combos will not be nearly enough. If you've got an SR, even stock, I'd recommend at least 225 wide tires, maybe some 225/45/17... even better, 235/40/17 all 'round, or something like that. the more power you have, the wider you want to go, esp. in the rear.

I personally like 15x8's for grip driving. wide enough for some good size tires, and small enough not to be heavy, and slow you down.
A good alternative is N/A Z32 wheels. they are 16x8 all around I think (.. might be 16x7.5) and can be had very cheap.
definately want to stay same size all around unless you are pumpin the powa'!
oh yeah, and I agree totally with the azenis comment. They like camber though. 2+ minimum or they will over heat pretty fast at speed. I need to dial in a good bit more rear (I only have 1.5*), as my rear tires overheat within a 2-3 miles of hard driving on track.

Right now I'm using:
F: 16x7 +38 (205/55/16) Futura 2000 (temp use.)
R: 16x8 +38 (225/50/16) Yokohama ES100
I'm planning to use a spacer and a 225/50/16 in the front, and 245/45/16 in the back(not too sure if that's the correct sidewall). I got my Watanabe RS8s from Wheelchoice and I'd highly recommend them. Alta is a pretty good option if you want 15" mesh.

16x8 is a perfect size for grip driving imo. 16x8 -15 Demon Cambers (from JSpec hint hint) with 205 or 215s on.

until I require larger tires to go faster, those cheap ass Azenis on the stock wheels are just fine imo. 62 bucks a corner!
