Year: 1989
Make: Nissan
Model: 240SX coupe
Color: Black
Mileage: 147,728
Transmission: Manual

Price: $3,000 OBO

Description: This car is completely stock with the exception of the suspension. When I bought the car it needed struts really bad and I found a set of KYB GR2s with Tein lowering springs.

Original 5 speed.

This car DOES have Heads Up Display and I am in the process of repairing it. I will update the thread as soon as I know it works.

It does need a new dashboard. I'm looking for one, but it's hard to source a clean HUD dash. Again, I will update if I find one.

The rear tires are brand new, never been driven on. One of the front tires has about 200 miles on it and the other is a little older, but still has about 85% tread on it.

This has a stock head unit which doesn't work, but I'm sure you have one laying around that will.

It has cruise control but I don't know if it works. I've never tried to use it.

Power everything.

Full interior including the trunk. Car will come with original spare, scissor jack and Nissan wheel chucks.

No leaks in the trunk or from the sunroof.

SE wheels.

Brand new catalytic converter.

Clutch is awesome, doesn't slip at all.

Just replaced the valve cover gasket and tune-up was done about two months ago. Plugs, wires, cap and rotor, oil change, air filter, Seafoam.

Everything is stock other than the suspension and there is NO RUST ON THE RAILS. There is one spot about the size of a silver dollar on the driver's side of the car, all the way at the bottom and right in front of the rear wheel. It can easily be fixed and/or covered with side skirts.

If you have any questions at all please don't hesitate to call, text or e-mail me.

The price is very negotiable so make me an offer I can't refuse. I might be open to trades, let me know what you have. Just, please don't waste my time.

Update.
Took the car to get inspected, today. Obviously, the cluster had to be working to pass. For a quick fix I did that capacitor test, took a soldering iron to the cap to warm it up. HUD came right on. Cap stayed warm long enough to get the car inspected and it passed, including dyno emissions, with flying colors. Everything was spotless. I have a copy of the report I can upload tomorrow.

Soon after, the HUD faded out again. My boyfriend and I, literally, spent about 6.5 hours on the cluster with no luck. I'll take another stab at it tomorrow but I've already done everything short of replacing the whole damn thing with Nissan for ~$300. I still have the analog cluster. I do not have a sub-harness for it, though. I'll try to source one over the weekend.

I've had a few offers but, as for now, the car is still available.

Ughhh. Now the heads-up works, but reads 6mph at idle? I don't get it. I'ma stop fucking with it before I really mess something up.

Still reading 6mph at idle, but I drove it about 40 miles tonight, city and highway and the driving speed is acurate. I used a GPS speedo and I had my boyfriend pace me in his car and everything adds up. Still no illumination, but all the other lights work.

Tried replacing the tcu in the driverside kick panel? Should be a little white box with a plug going into it.
