1992 240 with a sr20det(red top) , fmic , greddy BOV
I have been driving this car for a month now and had no issues, one day I was driving and noticed my BOV wasn't sounding like it was suppose to and I had a significant loss in power. Rolled down the windows and sounded like there was an exhaust leak. Got to the house and checked everything couldn't figure it out , started to rev the motor standing over it and come to find out the turbo was loose at the manifold. Ok so I tightened it back up and it sounded better , leak resolved. So I took it for a drive and suddenly I was reaching max/overboost hitting the warning(125) at 3k rpm. I Figured it was the pro spec b 2 so I tuned it down and still the same issue , turned it off and still no help like the computer was turning the injectors off and the turbo was bogging out pop, pop, pop. Checked the BOV it's working fine, checked the pipping/hoses , checked all the grounds , checked all the vacuum lines and everything is tight and hooked up.I'm thinking it could be the TPS as when I am pressing halfway down on the pedal I can take the RPMs all the way up close to redline and boost will act fine but at full throttle is when it max's out at about 3.5k, Not sure what else to try any one has any ideas. I dont know if because of the loose turbo it may have thrown the computer off and it needs to be reset or maybe something is getting stuck open. Just want to get some ideas before I do something drastic like take the mani/turbo off and I dont need to. Any help would be appreciated
