installed 300zx brakes and a new MC on my s13. i bench bled the master cylinder after first already installing it without doing that. but now i cant get any fluid to come out the bleeder on either of my rear calipers. it comes out of both front calipers but not the rear, why could this be? any help would be great thanks

i even lowered the rear and left the bleeders open to gravity bleed it but nothing is dripping out yet and these are rebuilt calipers so they cant be seized. what is going on here?!?!

your lines are more than likely installed wrong, how do u have the lines in stalled? the one farthest from the booster is for the back brakes

its kind of hard to mix them up since they are hard lines and cant bend into another position

i know the one farthest from the booster goes to the rears, nothing looks wrong

Put tubing on the rear bleeders, and put the other end into a little jar filled with fluid. Crack the bleeder and start pumping away. Eventually it will come out, odd that it hasn't yet though. This side of a kinked line (which you should see) everything should be good to go.

I see that it says the mc is new but could it have to do with the preportioning valve? Are they setup as one front one back or two front two back?

It shouldnt be that difficult to get the fluid to the rears....

well the mc is new to me, i bought it from a member on here, but if it gets fluid out the fronts it cant be faulty right?, and i did read about a proportioning valve on old 240z's but i guess i can rule that out since its internal. so ill just put a tube from the bleeder into a bottle of fluid and pump away and see what happens

Yup make sure the tube from the bleeder into the bottle is submerged, that way you'r enot drawing air back up in the system. eventually you'll see it (having a helper works) pushing air/raising the level of the fluid that way you know it's moving fluid.

well i just did it with my bro and nothing was coming out of the bleeder, no bubbles or fluid and it didnt look like the mc was sucking down any fluid either, but it comes out the fronts!?!? i dont get it

disconnected rear brake line from caliper and nothin is coming out of that so its not the calipers, and the brake pedal is stiff....

I really think you should install the stock mc to see if you get fluid to the back.
