So I have a 98 kouki with tein type hr coils bottomed out and locking collars removed, with stock wheels and tires I hit in the front occasionally when I turn sharp. I have 1500 dollars burning a whole in my pocket and really want to get some 18's but with my coil over situation and the fact I live in fucking minnesota where very few shops will help try to get a real wheel tire combo....

So here is my question, I dont want to raise the coil overs at all, I want a 18 and I already hit with 20/55r16 so can I put a 18 on this?

Please no rude comments, I am a nube when it comes to putting adjusted ride height in the mix of wheel tire combos.

Suggestions @ or around 1100 buck combos are appreciated

KEEP IN MIND I WILL NOT BE ROLLING,PULLING or otherwise body work.

You want 18s but don't want to roll or pull fenders?

u can.... kinda... depends on offsets.... and youd have to run a mad stretch :p

with being that low, and not wanting to do body work, your just not going to be able to put 18s on the front. im on stance coils, fully bottomed out but still have the collars and i have enough issues in the front with 17s and 215/40/17, which is a fairly low profile tire and theyre stretched. your best bet would be to try and get a 30 or 35 series tire for the 18s, and dont go too wide or too low of an offset or you'll run into issues with hitting the fender.

the other option, is to get wide front fenders, then all you have to do is paint, but thats up to you

so would a 18/8.5 with 22 off set not work? worried about hitting coils and fender,,,

depends on the coils, im not familiar with the hr's so i dont know what offsets/sizing will clear. 18x8.5 may work. i have 17x9 +20 which sit just about flush on stock fenders and i have no issue with coilover clearance. if you want to know for sure what kind of clearance you can expect, 1010tires.com has an offset calculator, you put in your current wheel specs, then the specs on the 18s and it'll tell you how much more/less clearance you'll have inside and out. after that its just choosing a tire size so you dont hit the wheel well. im guessing you dont wanna hammer it out to stop from rubbing if need be

so I can buy a set of staggard anniversary rims and new tires for 1k locally, heres the issue,

Front Wheels 18 X 8.0
Rear Wheels 18 X 8.5

Front Tires 225/45ZR18
Rear Tires 245/45ZR18

will I have to raise it up to fit this profile of tire?
Thinking of buying today, please respond

looks like the circumference is about 1inch bigger, so that prolly answers my question

45 side profile is pretty big for 18s...35 would be better

so would just rolling the fenders be enough?
Also looking at a set of 18x8 +35 drag 31's with 225/40

1K is way too much for those wheels!!!

5-600 with good tires is about average

for 1k u can be looking at much better wheels than stock z wheels

just roll your fenders and get enkei rpf1 18x9.5 +15 with 215/40f and 225/40r.
