i recently made a cheap universal camera mount and thought i would share it.
parts list:
digital camera (that has video recording lol)
Go-pro suction cup mount
1 bolt (that fits inside the tripod hole of the camera)
1 bolt in the size M5-.80x25 (will be used to hold door brackets together)
1 wing nut in the size M5-.80
washers 5mm
total price for all =about $45 :D
first, i bought a go-pro suction cup mount. costs about $30 plus shipping

next, i went to lowe's and picked up some bolts, washers, a wing nut, and door brackets.

buy a bolt that will fit into the tripod hole of the camera. i used washers to make it stay intact.

attach the camera as seen below.

insert the hex bolt as seen here, it should line up perfectly in place.

now add the door brackets along with washers in between the plastic bracket.
its important to do so because this creates a stronger base for the camera.

lastly, add the wing nut to the other side of the hex bolt and it is now complete.

here is a pic of the mount attached to my car.
