Hello, men (and women)! A couple of local drift racing buddy's saw that there was interest in those URAS "seahorse" gizmo's. They took it upon themselves to make similar items and supply them to the community at a price that is enjoyable to the wallet and easily available. What they do is rather simple, you pull the handbrake and they lock the wheels. It just makes it a lot easier to lock the wheels because of the added leverage. I will have him post in here later because I am not sure if he has account yet or not.

Yeah I tried to do a GB with RHDJ and the price break was insignificant, I'm down for a set depending on pricing, and local too! Get at me mike

i've been wanting these for a long time
Glad to see some interest! I looked into the URAS seahorses, and availability/price on these things put them out of reach for many of us..
So we developed a set of the brackets that we could we could sell for a reasonable price and get the job done! When I first tried them in my coupe, I just let the car roll down a slight hill, yanked the side brake and it actually locked the rears at walking speed. Makes entries a lot easier when you have stretched e brake cables, etc.. Somewhere around 50 shipped or something like that.
So far we have them for S13 only.. If we get enough S14 interest, I'd be glad to share the love for you guys too..
PM me for more info, I'd be glad to help however I can.

What are the specs on the material? Are they the same thickness as stock, or beefier? They undoubtedly see a lot of stress, any other testing done than driveway roll?

Anyways, I have a link to an eBay listing we set up if you want to take a look at them, but for all you on zilvia, we figured $45 a set and $5 shipping if you're in the lower US or whatever?
PM me if you have any questions or if interested.
link (http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/S13-E-Brake-Caliper-Cable-Bracket-Lever-Nissan-240SX-/290558476903?pt=Motors_Car_Truck_Parts_Accessories&hash=item43a6a28267#ht_914wt_1134)
factor in your vendor fee's on zilvia because they're going to lock this for advertising your product without a vendor account
so figure 65 a set and 5 for shipping

i suggest getting a account set up, this is gonna get locked
Setting up vendor's account. Also took out the ebay link, not trying to get this locked or advertise in the wrong place or whatever. Thanks.
PM me if you are seriously interested in something like this and I'll answer any questions you may have. Thanks again!

Hey,
You must be so popular with that bad ass attitude. And yes, if you put these on your car you will be able to drift better and faster and more accurately. Thanks for pointing that out. I thought they were just for parking on an incline.
Anyways, some have asked for more info/pics, I'll have pics up today.
The bracket cannot really be made thicker than factory, because of clearance issues and the pin that it turns (where the spring goes). That's the first thing we tried to do, but we found that using a low carbon steel about 1mm thinner, 10mm wider than the factory bracket works well for this application. (at least for the S13 setup). The bracket is wider though, in the direction that it gets pulled on. We have also tried a hardened steel, but found that it tends to be brittle and can crack under stress, where a mild low carbon steel has just enough give to flex if needed, but not crack or bend under stress. We also have a guarantee against any failure just in case, but our test models have been through hell and it doesn't seem like they can break from any heavy streeting, track use, drug use or hammering etc.
It seems like there is a lot of S14 interest, so we will try to get one out there soon as possible. I'll keep everyone informed and holler as soon as we start working on these.
Actually it's about 1mm thicker than factory, not thinner.

PM's sent/responded to. Thanks for the interest in these, guys and gals.
I will have some pics of them up Saturday afternoon if anyone is curious how they turn out. PM me if anyone has any further questions about these.
Also, it looks like we have enough interest to start making these for the S14 soon. I have a particular local S14 in mind to test the prototype set, and hopefully they will be ready within a few weeks.

S13 and S14 will be the same, they both use the same e-brakes so it shouldnt be any different between the 2. I know a bunch of guys who swears by these things out here. But still, doesnt do much shit if you dont upgrade to better brake pads.
