hello,

i just want to confirm this before i get a new clutch kit.

within the last 2days my clutch feel has change drastically, last night my car felt like it was taking a little more time to catch / engage, but still was moving. this morning it was the same but i noticed that even if i was driving a constant speed if i step on it, my turbo would spool but my car would take about 2 seconds later before it would start accelerating. right now it is alittle worse it takes a long time and high revs to get the gears to engage.

this morning i lowered my clutch point hoping that was the problem, but it was not, i checked out my slave cylinder and it was snapping back no problem.

now if my clutch is gone, i need to get home on monday so i can deal with it, but i'm with family till monday (canadian thanksgiving) so is there any way i can drive it 1 hr. back home on monday? i do have 2 days to do stuff.

please help me out

thanks

`nik

btw, i did search and could not find anyone with similar enough symptoms that was not solved doing the trouble shotinning i did.

get a new clutch man sounds like the organic material is about to be gone trust me i know. 1hr souldn't be bad if your good to it on the way home.but that is just my opinion

well before i do that, can i just replace the clutch disc, without doing the whole kit? its from a recently installed sr20det, the pressure plate might be good.
because i can't find a clutch kit today i'm sure a disc would be much easier.

if you want my honest opinion, I have a suggestion for you. Order a 6-Puck ACT unsprung disk from Phase 2 or heavy throttle ($100 shipped) and then go to a parts store (Oreillies, NAPA, Advanced Auto) and order a remanufactured Maxima pressure plate ($40 to $60) and a TOB from a '95 240 (with the carrier if possible - $45) and you will be good to go with a bishin clutch setup that is grabby AND streetable for around $200 total. I have the setup described above in my car and it is AMAZINGLY good, so far it has about 65 hard clutch drops and it is still perfect.

i think i will do that, its a good idea, do you think that maybe the sr pressure plate is in good condition? or a reman. maxima one would be in better condition. thank you

and russian, what do you plan on doing?

your SR one is *probably* good enough, but I noticed a good difference in pedal feel when I put the new pressure plate in. It is so cheap, it doesn't really matter :)
