What the heck are you doing over 125?

If you really are going to be doing a lot of work in that range, which you really shouldnt, buy a stack cluster.

how do you kno it stops at 125? I always thought it would stop at 199. And 240's would cut out at the 115-118 range.

Unless you're going out to the track, I hope you're kidding about going over 125

no im not kidding about going past 125... nor did i ask what you guys think about me driving fast, i just want to know if there is an upgraded digital speedo...
it does not stop at 199 either it stops at 125... but none-the-less the car keeps goinf i think i've theoretically gotten it up to 145 so far... but i could be wrong which is why i need to know my real speed...

any more input on if they do make one would be appreciated
Thank You!!

the old apex RSM might be good for MPH, the new one is KPH
also check out the Blitz units as well.

I think the easiest way to get accurate speed readings, would be either the obvious speedo replacement (autometer, greddy, blitz, etc) OR, the cheaper way....
get a turbo timer with a digital speedo.
the stock speedo is wildly inaccurate. At speeds above 60, it get's exponentially off, the faster you go. So your 125, is probably closer to 110-115 that 125. I have a HKS Type-1 TT, it's very accurate by comparison to the stock setup.

I don't blame him. . I sure wish my speedo went over 120, and I should cut my limiter. .118 is freaking SLOW. It's hard to tolerate on the highway.

I was wondering that as well, my cluster only goes to 240km/h, and it's been pushed far past that a few times. Digital would be nice.

I agree, the 240 is hardly near toped out at 115 :(

why did everyone yell at him for doing 125? if he can control his car and has got the balls to speed why not? Ever go 170? what a rush =]

He was yelled at because the odds that he did that speed in a place where it was legal to do so (ie, not endangering anyone around him) are slim to none. There's nothing wrong with speed, there IS something wrong with speeding and not caring about the welfare of those around you. People always say, "oh, it was a wide open road, no one around, it was like 3am, so i was totally safe", excuse the f*ck out of me, but that's B U L L S H | T. Going that fast, you can't see a trajedy coming until it's too late. Period.

99% of the time when something dumb happens like this (and the driver loses control), innocents are involved, and it's NEVER the driver's intention... look at the kids in the M3 last week, driver & front passenger managed to survive, yet the driver killed his friend who was trapped in the back seat. He burned to death.

I personally have lost a close friend to an idiot behind the wheel. Have you ever seen a human body hit by a car? I have, from 20 feet away, my friend was 5 feet away from me by the time he landed. Killed instantly.

THIS is why people are yelling at him for going so fast.
If he was doing this on a track, good... no... F*CKING Great! I'm glad... but like I said; chances of that are slim to none.

an argument not worth getting into, the guy wanted to know about speedo gauges, not reasons why speeding is bad, im pretty sure everyone knows why it can be bad...

The signal auto guys have a good idea In one of the drifter twins cars I saw at e-town a couple weeks ago had one of them rev/speed meter things in where the digital speedo is originally in the coupe. It looks pretty good a little cutting and you have an upgrade right there. I saw a good pic online I was looking for it but couldnt find it so just use your imagination

Supposedly the top speed is 146 mph. (ka24de)
Not too bad. . not quite honda territory, but only off by a few MPH.

Hey king-Kong it was a Greddy-E01, not a speed meter, yea it was nicely placed in there...
i was also at that event... i got the nice lil Signal fender bender on film... oooo what a nice thing to keep...

you know what Yoshi, chances are your right... most of my speeding consists of birhgtly lit up highways here in CT, where you can see 3 miles in front of you, and people can NOT pull out infront of you to cause stupid accidents, but none-the-less i shouldnt be doing it...
i want it for the track more or less, cause my last runs were 14.01 (due to ****ty 60' time) but trap speed was 107mph, so when i return with slicks rather than cheap ass pep-boys tires i KNOW i will run atleast 12.7 so the speed will be greater and i want to know what it is by looking down and not having to wait for the time-slip...

so anyone have any ideas still???
