ok so i tried using the search option on this forum and couldnt seem to find anything usefull....

im trying to put my s13 diff in my s14..i know all i have to do is swap diff covers but i was also told i need to have some spacers only i dont know how many spacer..

so i what i want to know is how thick of a spacer is needed to properly fit and align my s13 diff into my s14?...

and where exactly do these spacers need to go....on the diff cover bolts or on the 2 front bolts nearest the driveshaft?

use the stock s14 spacers on the main diff bolts. If you need a measurement or want to make a drive out to me I can give you some and full details on the swap.

s13 diffs just a bolt that goes to the subframe while s14 have diff mounts.

Put the spacers between the bolt and differential case.

you won't have an issue bolting it up, but if you were to do the opposite I would recommend these:
SPL Parts PRO Solid Differential Mounting Bushings S13 (http://www.frsport.com/SPL-Parts-PRO-Solid-Differential-Mounting-Bushings-S13_p_15615.html)

OR

you can use the worn out stock ones from a s14.

Use S13 diff/subframe bolts. they are shorter for that reason.

OR, two of suspension nuts on each bolts.

so last night i bolted up the s13 diff using the s14 rear diff cover (obviouslly) and using the stock s14 bolts and busshings..

clearly one of the bushings can not be used on the s13..so i simply measured it and used metal spacers that added up to roughlly about 5mm thickness..i still used the upper rubber bushing even though they are pretty worn.

as of now everything seems to work fine...my only mistake was using the old diff fluid so imma have to buy some new fluid to dump in there...i dont like the humming noise coming from the rear..

if anything i think im going to take the diff off again probably some time this weekend or next week and make some better bushings either out of polyeurothane or metal spacers...

i might make a How To thread on this for everyone maybe..
